Verdict

Local Dynasty is bound to be popular given his connections and he will be tough to beat if reproducing his Royal Ascot third here. That said, he was disappointing at Newcastle when last seen in November, even if the 1m4f trip that day stretched his stamina. With that in mind, preference is for TRACK OF TIME, who is an unexposed four-year-old that was narrowly beaten in a 1m4f French Listed race in September. A mark of 106 is not overly kind but very few in this race look well handicapped. Goemon was not disgraced in the Al Rashidiya two weeks ago and merits each-way consideration, along with Franz Kafka.

Verdict

MR KAFOO has been running consistently well since returning from a 615-day break in November and he has placed over this C&D from wide draws on his last couple of starts. The most recent of which came against some useful rivals in a handicap when trying to make all. From the rail draw here, the son of Frosted could be hard to peg back in this company. Nyaar also placed over this track and trip in a handicap last time and he edges out Mezzotinto and Halucinogenie to be the main danger.

Verdict

BATWAN won both of his starts here two seasons ago and, while he failed to add to his tally in three starts at the Carnival last year, the veteran put in a promising display when beaten a length behind City Walk in a similar event to this in February. He was arguably an unlucky loser that day and it would be no surprise to see him turn that form around, especially given his promising form in France subsequently. The aforementioned City Walk is an obvious threat on his return from a 307-day break. However, there is arguably more pace drawn low and that brings the likes of Open Mind and Walbank into consideration.

Verdict

There was a valid excuse for BRANWELL's defeat here four weeks ago, as he scoped poorly afterwards, and he had previously caught the eye on his seasonal return in November. If he bounces back to form here, then he could prove to be a class above this field. The unexposed Nevershow Weakness was an impressive maiden winner over a mile here last time but he will have to improve on that level of form to follow up. Others to consider are Aldhaja, Lion's Mane and Alwareeth.

Verdict

It is hard to oppose LEGEND OF TIME, who made a winning debut over a mile at Haydock in September before a promising effort in a 7f Group 3 at Newmarket later that month. The son of Sea The Stars is likely to have more improvement left to come and is clearly the one to beat. Geologist won a Listed race in Germany as a two-year-old and has the ability to go well once again, although she could be vulnerable now against colts. Shamrock Glitter is an interesting French raider after his success at Chantilly in October.

Verdict

A wide-open renewal of this Group 3 contest could go the way of SOUND MONEY, who readily accounted for Tuz (third) when winning a similar event over C&D on his UAE debut last March. He struggled on his sole subsequent start in the Golden Shaheen, but a wide draw was no help to him on that occasion. Stall seven here is still not ideal, but the six-year-old could be capable of overcoming that negative. Tuz is the obvious form threat but the widest draw of all is a big concern so the main danger could prove to be Beolmaui Star, who split two very useful Japanese raiders when second in the Korea Sprint in September.

Verdict

The last time Real World was seen over a mile, he chased home Baaeed in the 2022 Queen Anne at Royal Ascot and he has to be of interest as a result. That said, his subsequent form is not inspiring and that includes an underwhelming fifth in the Al Rashidiya here last month. San Donato has strong form claims, but he's arguably at his very best over shorter and he was only narrowly ahead of El Patriota when touched off in Abu Dhabi's National Day Cup. With all of that in mind, a chance can be taken on FIRST CONSTITUTION, who is a useful dirt performer here and could surprise a few if transferring that ability to turf. Marbaan is another who has stamina concerns, while In Crowd and Sean are worth a look.

Verdict

MA YETAL could hardly have been more impressive when making a winning debut by 14 lengths at Jebel Ali last month. This is obviously a more demanding test and he does have to prove himself at Meydan, but he looks to have a very bright future. Mendelssohn Bay also made a successful beginning to his career, over C&D in November, but he only beat Million Doro a length that day and that rival was a lot further behind the selection subsequently. Quartier has to be of some interest given how well Southern Hemisphere three-year-olds can do here, while Military Artist's effort last time should be written off as he was nearly brought down.
