HOURVARI gained a first success over hurdles when romping home by 15 lengths at Lingfield last month and Olly Murphy's inmate looks capable of defying a 7lb penalty for that victory. Letterston Lady found a Listed contest a step too far at Newbury in November but she wouldn't be out of this judged on her win at Worcester in October. Bonttay is heading in the right direction and she makes most appeal of the remainder.
Quite an interesting opener. HOURVARI scored in taking style at Lingfield and can follow up, although Bonttay has the potential to be a big threat as her smart bumper ability suggests she has the potential to step up on the form she showed when winning an ordinary mares' maiden hurdle at Exeter last time. Letterston Lady looks best of the remainder.

SHIGHNESS returned to winning ways over C&D last month and a 5lb rise may not prevent Micky Hammond's mare from gaining a fourth success over hurdles. Universal Folly posted an improved effort when runner-up over an extended 2m3f at Wetherby in February and he may improve for this step up in distance. HALONDO appeared to relish the step up in trip when finishing a good second at Ayr last month and the unexposed son of Cokoriko could go one better with further improvement likely. Happy And Fine appeared to struggle off this mark at Catterick last time but he remains in decent form and shouldn't be written off. Ballyhome is well treated judged on past exploits and that puts him firmly into the reckoning.
HALONDO has responded well to pressure to finish second at Ayr on his last two starts and an opening mark of 109 could prove lenient, so he takes preference over Happy And Fine, who is expected to bounce back from a lesser effort at Catterick recently. Ballyhome also merits consideration.
