Verdict

Only a few of these have any worthwhile recent form and it may be a good opportunity for STORM PRINCE, who was third in a stronger race than this over course and distance a couple of weeks back. The race probably came too soon when disappointing four days later and he's preferred to Watch Out and Capistrano.

Verdict

METAPHORIC was much the best of these on the Flat and has made the most promising start over hurdles, too, winning a decent juvenile event at Warwick prior to finishing a creditable fifth in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham. He's still open to improvement in this sphere and can get the better of Charlie Mann's How's Business, who won at Wetherby on his hurdling bow, and Julie Camacho's Hello Nod.

Verdict

AIR FORCE ONE has quickly emerged as one of the leading staying novice chasers with easy victories at Folkestone and Fontwell early in the season and has run sound enough races behind Alberta's Run in both the Reynoldestown at Ascot (second) and Royal and Sun Alliance at Cheltenham (fifth) since. He's impossible to oppose here with Gardasee likely to take his first preference at Southwell.

Verdict

Mister Friday is the best of these on the pick of his form but was only fourth when returning from a lengthy absence in a point-to-point in February, so preference is for FULLARDS. Pam Sly's inmate has no recent form under Rules but has won her last two outings in points, the most recent of which was just eight days ago, so is at least in good heart currently.
