WHY THE FACE finished a well-held fourth in a stronger grade at Belterra Park last time out but is a likely improver now eased in grade. Classicsister Jill holds Appleslastchance (third) on her recent Belterra Park second and has place claims along with the reliable Golden Empress.
HOOSIER ROAD has been knocking hard on the door in recent months and wouldn't need to improve much on the form of his Santa Anita 7f third last time now cutting back in trip. Case Ace is having his first start since being gelded and is worth a market check, likewise recent Mountaineer second Direct Flight.
SHE'S ALL THAT kept on well to score by a neck over this trip at Fort Erie and those battling qualities should stand her in good stead as she goes in search of a double. Meadow Joy and Salt And Pepper are the pair expected to put up most resistance.
This is a weak contest but STORMY JUSTICE at least has some scope for improvement after just three career starts and she can get off the mark. Oh So Rewarding and Brooklynns Pride look to be the main dangers, with marginal preference for the latter.
TOO COOL showed a nice attitude to claim her second win of the season last time out and a repeat could be good enough to make it successive wins. Coquetona and Optimism rate as the main threats.
TEPU WAR drops markedly in class and could prove tough to beat in this class. Bobby Mac could outrun his odds, while Conte is improving and has to be considered a threat.
NO ISSUE brings the best form to the table and she could account for the likes of Call Me Clever and Who's The Fairest this evening.
In a race with no standout candidate the marginal preference is for CROWN POLIS, who should improve for his two starts so far this year. Others to note are Mr Algebra and Clapham Heights.
