AMANCIO was successful on the level at Newbury back in the spring and also won when last seen in this sphere at Chepstow in April. Faye Bramley's charge is narrowly preferred to Ocean Conquest, who drops to novice company after being outclassed in a handicap at Ascot when last in action. A taking winner of a bumper at Ludlow earlier in the month, Snatch A Glance is an intriguing prospect on his debut in this sphere.
With race fitness on his side, SNATCH A GLANCE has potentially found a nice opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles at the first attempt. A winner in his last bumper run at Ludlow, he has seemingly come on with each run in that sphere after a 4th on debut and then a 2nd next time out. The yard's horses are going well at present, and he looks to be a nice recruit to Hurdles. Another yard going well is the Twiston-Davies yard; their Ocean Conquest has bags of experience over hurdles, and he can put that to good use in this. Yet to win over obstacles, he has shown promise in a few runs; therefore, he can go well here. And Jack The Boss was a nice winner of a hurdle contest at Wetherby back in November. With a break to overcome here, he looks the sort that can go well here before progressing as the season goes on.

A confident vote goes to MINI FORTUNE, who could not have done it any easier at Ffos Las last week and a 7lb penalty for that success is largely offset by 5lb claimer Callum Pritchard taking over in the saddle. Now with new connections and an easy winner at Doncaster on her penultimate start, Loud And Proud must be noted on her return. Another Day Out can step forward from her distant third over C&D most recently.
Not the most reliable mare out there; however, given the manner that MINI FORTUNE dotted up last time out, it would suggest she can overcome this raise in the weights and go in again here. She jumped well at Ffos-Las last time out and soon pulled clear in the closing stages to win by an easy 9 and a half lengths in the end. An 8 lb raise seems fair enough, and now with her head in front over fences, she will take all the stopping here if the 7-day turnaround is no issue. Top weight Another Day Out comes into this off the back of a good 3rd in a harder contest at this venue last time out; she will no doubt run well here again, but she might have to settle for another place finish. And Trapista hails from a yard slightly out of form at present, but she has been running well of late and can fill the places in this contest.

A taking winner over 2m at Worcester, CELESTRON STAR looked like a mare on top of her game and stepping up in trip could eke out further improvement in the five-year-old. A tad lucky to score at Bangor, Dothejive is still open to further progression and should be thereabouts. Ask Peter has yet to put it together since joining Anthony Honeyball, but the rise in distance may aid her cause.
A very taking winner of a mares maiden hurdle at Worcester last time out, CELESTRON STAR comes into this in very good form at present and looks to be a nice type for the mares novice hurdle races. Jumping well throughout last time out, she soon pulled clear with 2 furlongs to go, winning and easing down in the end by 6 and a half lengths, with La Lolita finishing 3rd behind her that day. With a 50% strike rate in rules races, she looks like a nice type who can go in again here after a little break off the track. Dothejive is her main rival in this, also winning last time out over hurdles; that was her hurdle debut at Bangor, where she won by a little under 2 lengths in the end. Connections have wasted no time in getting over hurdles; therefore, another good run is expected here in this. And La Lolita finished 3rd behind Celestron Star back in August, disappointing since she can bounce back to some sort of form here and fill the places.

YES DAY looked to be getting into contention when falling four out over C&D and he may be able to gain compensation off the same mark. Twice a winner last season, he relishes quick ground and is preferred to the returning Histrionic, who is a point-to-point winner so has plenty of potential on his debut in this sphere. Due to go up 3lb after his success over hurdles at Ffos Las last week, D'jo Dela Barriere is another to note on the switch back to chasing.
YES DAY was sent off as the favourite in a contest over course and distance last time out, and we will never know if he would have won the contest given the fact he came down with 4 fences left to jump. He was in contention when coming down, and there was plenty of support for him before the race. A two-time winner over fences previously, he can bounce back to winning form in this contest in what looks like a pretty similar contest to last time. D'jo Dela Barriere carries bottom weight in this contest but was a nice winner of a hurdle contest last time out, with an in-form rival back in second. He goes back over fences here for a yard going pretty well at present; therefore, he has to be taken very seriously. And Pike Road has only had the one run over fences, a 5th at Southwell last time out; he can build on that effort here and land a place finish.

TOUCHWOODEXPRESS, Tankardstown Diva and Prince De Juilley are all bidding to complete doubles, but preference is for the first-named. The Twiston-Davies' charge appreciated the return to this discipline when going in by three lengths at Newton Abbot and might have been let off lightly with just a 2lb rise. Prince De Juilley showed improvement in a first-time visor to score at Stratford, but blinkers being reapplied raises a question mark.
TOUCHWOODEXPRESS was a game winner by 3 lengths at Newton Abbot last time out when sent off the 15/8 favourite in a similar handicap contest as this one. Just a 2 lb raise in the weights after that effort; now with his head back in front, he looks the sort to really kick on this season. He could still potentially be well handicapped given the performance from last time, and hopefully the bleed from the nose that was reported after the race will pose no threats with him trying to make it back-to-back wins. Tankardstown Diva also won last time out, landing a handicap hurdle by 6 lengths in the end when sent off as the 5/2 favourite. A 9 lb raise in the weights is a pretty big hike; therefore, he will no doubt run well given the form he is in but might have to settle for a place behind a potentially well-treated rival. And Prince De Juilley has been in good form recently, winning on one occasion as well as placing twice, all in his last three runs. Olivia Kate's sole career success came over C&D and she may strip fitter for her reappearance fifth over an inadequate trip at Chepstow earlier this month. However, MATCHADAM was well fancied when only fourth at Southwell in May and has since undergone a wind operation. With the Tom Lacey string in fine order and the possibility of more to come on just his third handicap outing, he looks the one to side with. Briery Butterfly isn't ruled out either.
Now 8 lbs lower in the weights compared to his last victory, SUN JOY has been creeping down the weights nicely recently and looks the sort that could strike now into the 90s for the very first time in his career. The Ben Pauling horses are always worth looking at in the early parts of the season, as they tend to be fitter and ready to go more than the rest. Olivia Kate was a winner over hurdles off the mark of 74 back in November at this venue; she got an 11 lb hike after that victory and was pretty impressive when winning. She has been in decent enough form in better races than this; therefore, she can bounce back to some sort of form here. And Isabel De Clare is yet to win in her career, but she has been creeping down the weights recently and could be on an attractive mark; she can run well here but might have to settle with filling the places for connections.
