OVERTOWN EXPRESS relished the testing ground when running out an emphatic winner over an extended 2m2f at Exeter and Harry Fry's eight-year-old should prove equally effective dropped back to the minimum trip. Master Jake carries a double penalty after wins over C&D and at Hexham but this is easier than his last assignment at Wetherby. ENTRY TO EVRYWHERE failed to settle and may have found the race coming too quick when disappointing at Leicester but he has plenty of scope for improvement and the manner of his Fakenham success on his penultimate start is difficult to ignore. Diamond Life finished in front of the selection when finishing second on his chase debut at Leicester and should have further improvement in him given his lightly-raced profile. Bawden Rocks has proved consistency personified since being switched to handicaps but will need to improve in the jumping department after a series of mistakes when second at Wetherby last time.
A trappy handicap, but GOLD CARROT might be worth chancing back in novice company having shaped better at Chepstow last time. Diamond Life couldn't be dismissed if building on his first run over fences when not beaten far, while it's still early days in this sphere for Bawden Rocks.

Good Idea was heavily backed ahead of his racecourse debut but flopped badly and is surely capable of better. Manhattan Spring landed an all-weather bumper here in December but the runner-up that day, MR MOUNTAIN, is fancied to reverse the form. Emma Lavelle's six-year-old wasn't placed to best advantage in a slowly-run event and can exact his revenge in receipt of 7lb. Jennifer Eccles highlighted her resolution when battling back once headed to score at Fontwell and is another to consider.
MR MOUNTAIN wasn't placed to best advantage when a keeping-on second to Manhattan Spring in an AW bumper here in December, so can be expected to reverse the form, especially in receipt of 7 lb. A bigger threat may emerge from Good Idea, who bombed out on debut in April, but is in excellent hands and was heavily backed that day.
