It's impossible to look past HURRICANE FLY. After slightly lacklustre performances at both the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals last season, it what was good to see him travel and jump with his old exuberance when making a winning return in the Grade 1 Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown some six weeks ago and the 2010 winner of this contest is strongly fancied to hit the target again. It could be worth siding with the progressive ZUZKA. This ultra consistent mare produced by far and away her best effort yet when a two and a half length third behind subsequent winner Jezki in the Grade 1 Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse last time and the way she finished off that race suggests that stepping back up in trip today can only help. OUTLANDER overcame greenness to run out an impressive winner on his NH debut in a Fairyhouse bumper earlier in the month and, entitled to have learnt a great deal from that experience, he is fancied to double up here. The other Gigginstown representative Somethingwonderful and Punchestown scorer O Maonlai look to have plenty going for them as well, but the main threat is Dantes Firth, who showed that she has improved for her summer break when runner-up behind a decent sort from the Noel Meade stable last time.
