Great Field and So Young make plenty of appeal representing the stable that won this race 12 months ago with Felix Yonger, but it might pay to side with the returning SHEAMUS. This gelding impressively notched up four wins in a row towards the back end of 2014 (two bumpers and two hurdles) and looked set to go along way in the game before picking up an injury. Obviously fitness has to be a concern on his return from such a lengthy absence, but if he retains plenty of his old ability, he is sure to go close. Henry De Bromhead saddled the winner of this race last year and he appears to have another outstanding chance with ALISIER D'IRLANDE this time around. He made up for his Fairyhouse blunder (when clear and still travelling well) with an impressive all-the-way success at Naas, and there looks to be a whole lot more to come from the powerful six-year-old. Fine Article ran as though something was amiss at Navan and might be better judged on his previous third at Punchestown. He rates the biggest threat ahead of C&D handicap winner Dysios.
