With As De Mee out, the way has been paved clear for his stablemate ORBASA to make a successful UK debut. He won a chase in his native France last July, for which he has to shoulder a 5lb penalty, and a bold display could book his ticket for the novices' handicap chase at the Cheltenham Festival, for which he is as short as 14/1. Blue Bear has 18lb in hand over Ma'ire Rua and can fill the runner-up berth with a clear round.

THINGER LICHT has been a revelation since he joined the yard of Dan Skelton and his second last time out was arguably a career best. Since he joined this yard he has risen 21lb in the ratings and there is no reason why that improvement will stop now. That said, Golanova should prove a tough nut to crack following his C&D win recently, especially as a 3lb rise for that win looks potentially lenient. Cloudy Bob is a danger but he is also engaged to run at Kempton on Saturday, while Itoldyou is another to note.

How fascinating to see Paul Nicholls plunge his juvenile Adrien Du Pont into this hot handicap which sees the French import just 6lb away from the likes of Melodic Rendezvous. It's tempting to row in with the youngster who could be Triumph Hurdle-bound if performing well here, but LIL ROCKERFELLER has turned into a splendid sort for Neil King and his excellent Ascot third to Rock The Kasbah reads very well. He should run his race and represents a solid option. Cheltenian and San Benedeto, the latter a stablemate of Adrien Du Pont, are also respected in an excellent renewal.

Bushel is interesting as he's not been faring too badly on the level and remains unexposed over timber. He'd be noteworthy if the money came for him but HERONS HEIR looked a progressive performer when scoring at Market Rasen and can confirm placings with the runner-up that day, Ourmanmassini, despite a swing in the weights in favour of the latter. Dan Skelton's charge has only had four starts over timber and should have plenty more to offer. Bladoun could prove very dangerous off this mark if recapturing something like his best form.
