John Oxx's newcomer Sherama is worth a market check ahead of her racecourse debut as she's a half-sister to a 1m winner. Tirghra took a forward step when third over this trip at Naas last time and is also considered.

SHINING EMERALD possesses the standout piece of form in the race having landed a Listed contest over 6f at the Curragh last month. Previously successful over this longer trip at Listowel, the selection is improving sharply with each run and is expected to complete a hat-trick. Ballydoyle inmate Michaelmas hasn't been sighted since striking over 5f at the Curragh in May and merits a market check, along with impressive 1m Listowel maiden winner Lanyard.

Ubiquitous Mantle returned a beaten favourite when third on her handicap debut at Gowran last time and although this extra furlong entitles Ger Lyons' representative to improve on that effort, marginal preference is for GREANTA. The selection advertised her well-being when landing a soft-ground handicap at Cork last time and may be capable of defying a 7lb rise. Hannah's Magic has something to find with the selection on that run while Greeneyed Monster hasn't yet raced on ground this soft.

This race has been something of a Dermot Weld benefit in recent years and the County Kildare handler handler has strong claims of landing a fourth consecutive renewal with C&D winner STUCCODOR, who has progressed very nicely this year and is entitled to improve for a drop in grade after finishing fifth in a Curragh Group 3 last time out. Uleavemebreathless and Euphrasia are closely matched on their last run at Naas and have place possibilities, though the biggest danger may be John Oxx's Curragh maiden winner Tarana, who merits a market check now returning from a 412-day break.

Watch out for: Tarana (8)

Stuccodor should be happier back on this ground and he can resume his progress at the main expense of Uleavemebreathless and Beach Of Falesa.

There was plenty of promise in GYPSY KING's introductory effort, leading well from the front before being picked off in the closing stages, and he is entitled to come on for that experience. Adelaide appears to be the yard's second string on his debut, but he boasts a smart pedigree and shouldn't be discounted, while Fiscal Focus may have taken a slight step back at Naas on Sunday but still deserves respect on his first run and is worth a market check.

In a race worth noting for the future, the solid option appears to be Gypsy King who ran well in a decent-looking maiden last time, and should be up to taking this on that evidence. Sea's Aria should also be sharper for his debut effort, whilst newcomers Adelaide and Fascinating Rock need monitoring in the betting. Fiscal Focus needs to put a below par effort last time behind here.

SECRET RECIPE couldn't live with his rivals when upped to Listed company in August, but returned to handicapping with first-time blinkers applied, he looks the one to side with here. Barack loves it at this venue (won here three times and placed on five occasions) and showed he still maintains the ability to mix it at this level when winning here in September, so, having followed that up with creditable efforts in defeat the last twice, he looks a big danger. Shipyard is having his first run in handicaps and warrants respect.
