Bajardo had no sort of race when brought down at the first at Taunton last time and remains only 1lb higher than when striking at Fakenham in December. The pick of the remainder may be Mondo Cane, who is only 2lb higher than when finishing a half-length second over C&D last month.

C&D winner FINNEGAN'S GARDEN won a conditional jockeys' race by three lengths from 5lb out of the handicap at Lingfield last time so looks of obvious interest now racing from his proper, 5lb lower, mark. Gustav has been off the track since scoring at Stratford 12 months ago and is worth monitoring in the betting, while Kavanaghs Corner landed minor money off this mark at Towcester last time and could similarly take a hand.

Grandioso often makes the frame in these type of events and he should be thereabouts once again. Others to consider in an open event are Gowanauthat, Proximo, Rouge Et Blanc and Trafalgar Rock.

ALBERTO'S DREAM was well backed prior to bolting up on his debut for this yard at Lingfield on Monday. He is likely to go up in the ratings by a lot more than the 7lb penalty he carries today and the nine-year-old will be very hard to beat if fully recovered from those exertions. Redmond is next on the list having won himself at Fontwell last month, while Onurbike is the pick of the remainder.
