BLUEBERRY FIZZ was only keeping on at the one pace when third at Lingfield earlier in the month (Storm Runner back in fifth) but was beaten by less than a length in a typically tight Lingfield finish. John Ryan's charge races off the same mark again here and, now granted this extra furlong, looks the one to be on with a more experienced apprentice also taking over in the saddle. Ocean Countess was similarly outpaced over 7f last time and returns to what is arguably her best trip. However, she remains a maiden on polytrack and of more interest is Fayre Bella, dropped 1lb for finishing third over C&D latest.
Shaunas Spirit is in good form and can go one better than she has here the last twice. Blueberry Fizz is an obvious danger for her in-form yard providing her improved showing last week wasn't a flash in the pan, while the unexposed The Ducking Stool makes slightly more appeal than most.

Final Delivery helps set the form standard based on recent efforts which include a head beating over the extended mile in a Wolverhampton claimer earlier in the month. The booking of Ryan Moore suggests a big run is on the cards but, at the weights, preference is for CRISTAL GEM, who would be receiving considerably less weight from the first-named if this were a handicap. Richard Hannon's representative opened her account in a polytrack maiden over 7f at Lingfield last time and, having put in her best work in the closing stages, looks worth her first try at 1m. C&D winner Anginola has decent place prospects.
Cristal Gem showed a tendency to hang at Lingfield, but is the one to beat here if avoiding similar antics. Anginola is consistent and deserves respect, as does fellow C&D winner Snowed In.

With the benefit of racecourse experience behind her and a low draw to assist in securing a good racing position, WILTSHIRE LIFE gets the call in a trappy-looking maiden. The selection improved between her first and second runs and her last-time-out C&D effort, when dead-heating with the reopposing Topflight Princess for third, gives her a solid platform on which to build. Words Come Easy ran to a similar level of form as the aforementioned pair when third from a poor position at Wolverhampton last time and is another in with strong claims.
Topflight Princess and Wiltshire Life shared minor honours in a similar event over C&D last time, but the former was making her debut there, and is taken to improve enough to score past her stablemate. Newcomers Place That Face and Dahab Gold need monitoring in the market.

A disappointing turnout for the feature race on the card but BARBICAN is capable of pocketing the prize. Alan Bailey's charge rattled off a turf treble earlier in the year and although his winning run came to an end in Group 3 company at Newmarket last time, he wouldn't need to improve much upon that effort to make an impact now dropping back into Listed company. The booking of Ryan Moore (who struck for this yard on Storming Bernard earlier in the month) also looks noteworthy. Precision Break has struggled for form since landing the Mallard Handicap at Doncaster in 2010 so the main dangers appear to be the classy Laaheb, who landed the Group 3 September Stakes over C&D in 2010, and Ceilidh House, a Listed winner on turf over 1m2f that is untried on polytrack but relatively unexposed over this longer trip.
Laaheb will be hard to beat if back to his best, but the way he tied up last time was a bit worrying and he is probably worth taking on with tough 3-y-o Barbican, who has Ryan Moore in the saddle for the first time. Ceilidh House could easily be involved if taking to the surface.

The step up to 1m failed to spark the desired improvement from PERFECT CRACKER on her handicap bow at Salisbury back in August but Clive Cox's gelding had previously gone close over this shorter trip at Folkestone and warrants the utmost respect as the highest-rated runner (on official figures) in the field. Community shaped with promise when fourth over this trip on debut at Southwell and is expected to improve with that experience now behind her. Amba ran her best race yet over this trip at Wolverhampton last time and is also worthy of inclusion on the shortlist.
Perfect Cracker sets the standard and looks the one to beat, but Sawahill is almost certainly capable of better and could improve past him with Ryan Moore booked. Community shaped well on her recent debut and is also worth considering.

EXCELLENT AIM hacked up when landing a moderate Wolverhampton maiden by four and a half lengths earlier in the month and has bagged a good draw if choosing to repeat those front-running tactics now returning to the handicap ranks. Fenella Fudge has been typically campaigned over further of late and might be capable of improvement now sprinting. C&D winner Sherjawy has dropped 2lb below his last winning mark and merits consideration, along with Rapid Water, who, despite running a lifeless race on his first start for this yard at Lingfield, has Ryan Moore booked to ride once again.
Rivas Rhapsody won with some authority at Ffos Las, and looks well treated on her handicap debut, for all the new surface is an unknown. Excellent Aim looks the chief threat, although Rapid Water would be interesting if attracting market support again.

Katmai River was given too much work to do last time and with the visor left off once again, Mark Usher's charge is best overlooked over a trip that is very much on the sharp side for him anyway. Preference is for CUSTOM HOUSE, who was beaten by less than a length over C&D last time and, despite a subsequent 1lb rise, looks handicapped to finish in the mix. C&D winner Poppy drops back to this trip after a failed attempt at 7f last time. After running on strongly in the finish over 5f here last week, Danzoe is another to consider.
The form of Doctor Hilary's win over this C&D has received a couple of boosts since and he can follow up from his low draw. Poppy and Mack's Sister head a list of dangers.
