A 7lb rise in the ratings for ARISEA's 6-length Carlisle win over 2m4f late last month doesn't look too harsh and providing this proves enough of a test, Jimmy Moffatt's charge can complete the double. Kayf Commander got up close home at Sedgefield recently and is very much respected off a 5lb higher mark here, while King Mak and Aggravation appear decent each-way alternatives.
Arisea looked well ahead of her mark when readily coming clear at Carlisle last month and is the one to side with on her follow-up bid. Zefooha and Kayf Commander are others likely to make their presence felt, but Brave Spartacus has shaped better than his form figures imply over hurdles and may well prove the chief threat.

EMOTIVE has failed to make an impression in a couple of soft-ground events since returning to action but he's happier on better ground, as indicated by a decent second over 2m here last December. Now rated 7lb lower than for that runner-up effort, and only 1lb higher than when last successful, a big run is anticipated. Strathaird is not dismissed despite racing from out of the weights, although Tregaro and Itstooearly look likely to pose the selection greater problems.
On Gossamer Wings has the ability to make a mockery of his current handicap mark if all is well after shaping as if amiss at Hexham recently, but he reamins a risky proposition and Tregaro's sound jumping could hold sway. Strathaird is another worth considering.

Donald McCain has a few exciting three-year-old hurdlers this season and CUBAN PIECE is one of them. After showing limited ability in eight Flat starts, the gelded son of Azamour built on his pleasing Fontwell introduction when scoring at Bangor earlier this month and he'll be hard to peg back if the blinkers work again. The major threat today is impressive Wetherby maiden hurdle winner Chadford, who wasn't at all disgraced when tried in Listed company last time. NH newcomer Uncle Bryn is one to monitor in the market.
Cuban Piece showed a good attitude when scoring at Bangor last time and he looks the one to beat in a field lacking strength in depth. Chadford would be a threat if he got back to his winning hurdling debut form, though, while John Quinn's Uncle Bryn also makes a bit of appeal starting out over hurdles.

STREAMTOWN impressively landed a 2m3f beginners chase at Downpatrick and was in the process of running really well before unseating her rider four out in a race won by subsequent Troytown winner Groody Hill at Wexford last time. The Irish-trained mare remains open to plenty of improvement and looks potentially well-treated if she handles the step back up in trip today. Rossini's Dancer and Ngong Hills head the home team, while Emperor Charlie could run a big race at more rewarding odds.
Ngong Hills seems to have retained plenty of ability despite his 2-year absence and a reproduction of his latest second would see him go very close here. Quinder Spring should be sharper for his recent reappearance and has place claims.

Franks A Million knuckled down well to score at Musselburgh and Irish raider Sparville is another to consider closely, especially if the market signals are positive. However, marginal preference is for KARINGA HEY, a half-brother to three NH winners and representing a trainer whose newcomers always know what's required of them at the first time of asking. Darnborough and Edmund both lack a recent run but neither is dismissed lightly.
Darnborough makes the most appeal of those with experience, but Karinga Hey represents a top yard in flying form and wouldn't have to be any great shakes to make a winning debut.
