NEIGE D'ANTAN should still have further improvement in her and she certainly looked a filly heading in the right direction when making it two wins from her last three starts at Wolverhampton last week. Despite the burden of a 6lb penalty, she looks one to stick with and is preferred to recent Bath winner The Wonga Coup, who is up 6lb for that comfortable success but this comes hot on the heels of Tuesday's Lingfield run. Rapid Water goes well on this surface and has been knocking on the door of late.

OUT DO caught the eye when running on to finish sixth in a competitive Salisbury handicap three weeks ago and although still a maiden after five starts, Luca Cumani's gelding looks to have been handed a fine opportunity to break his duck this evening. The fact that the returning En Ete is being persisted with suggests connections believe her to be capable of better than she showed in two starts as a juvenile last year. Generalyse ran well to finish third at Newbury last time and is another expected to get on the podium.

An interesting maiden, with a number of leading Newmarket trainers represented. Secret Number, Revise, and Jaladee all tick plenty of boxes on paper and will be worth monitoring in the market ahead of their racecourse debuts, while Pether's Moon was sent off favourite for a Goodwood maiden last month and should be capable of better than shown there. The one who makes most appeal, however, is CELEBRATED TALENT, following his highly encouraging debut fifth at Salisbury. He should improve plenty for that initial experience and looks a winner in waiting.

GREATWOOD is held in high regard and is fancied to get off the mark tonight following two highly promising efforts so far. Luca Cumani's representative turned in a fine debut effort when second in a hot Leicester maiden won by Penny Rose and the form of his subsequent Salisbury third is already working out well. Kelvingrove and Layl both ran well on their respective Newmarket debuts and will be expected to step forward, while Harry Bosch shouldn't be too far away again having filled third spot at Sandown when last seen in July.

A few in with chances but CAT O'MOUNTAIN looked a useful prospect when landing a C&D maiden in good style here in August and an opening mark of 82 doesn't appear overly harsh, with the promise of more to come after only two starts. Sesentum stepped forward from a moderate opening effort to win easily at Brighton recently and he is another expected to progress further while Filfil, a stablemate of the selection, ran above himself in a decent race here last time and harbours frame claims again.

Cat O'Mountain and Elegant Silk are both appealing, particularly the former who Mickael Barzalona prefers over the yard's other runner, Filfil. True Prince has a little bit to prove having failed to build on his previous Bath victory when well beaten under a penalty here last time. He now sports a visor and a return to form could certainly see him involved. Similar sentiments also apply to Scouting For Girls, but preference is for CLAPPED, who turned in a much better effort when finishing fourth on turf at Lingfield in July. He might have a bit more to offer still and this is his easiest test so far.

Watch out for: True Prince (13)

Saint Boniface and Scouting For Girls are both high on the list, but True Prince could prove the answer to this low-grade contest. He scored with plenty of authority in first-time blinkers at Bath last month and, though nowhere near as good next time, there's a good chance that he will bounce back now tried in new headgear.

The unbeaten TAKE COVER proved that last winter's exploits at Southwell were not to be taken lightly when making a winning return to action in a competitive heat at Haydock last month. A 4lb rise in the weights for that success looks fair and armed with a low draw, he would seem to have plenty going for him. Chapter And Verse was back to form with a good second over 1m here last time and holds obvious claims on that effort returning to 7f, while Shahzan is still lightly raced and caught the eye with an improved showing at Wolverhampton latest.

Top Tip: Take Cover (9)
Watch out for: Chapter And Verse (2)

Though unproven on this surface, Take Cover is by far and away the most interesting contender. He appeals as the type to go on improving and, if he does take to polytrack, he should have little trouble in shrugging off a 4 lb rise for his victory at Haydock last month. Chapter And Verse and Rio Grande may emerge as the main dangers.
