ORIGINAL DANCER has shown little in three runs on turf and was beaten a long way over a mile at Newcastle last time. This is his easiest task to date, however, and the fact he's made the long journey down from North Yorkshire for his all-weather debut suggests he's the one to be on here. Trecase has put in three good efforts here and has claims although he best form has come over 1m 2f while Cunning Plan has hardly set the world on fire so far but drops in class tonight.
Trecase has plenty going for him in a weak race following his improved efforts over 1¼m here of late and looks sure to give another good account. The lightly-raced pair Original Dancer and Cunning Plan are also accorded some respect in this weaker affair given their connections.

This looks an ideal opportunity for OUR GAL to break her duck at the third time of asking. She's put in two fine efforts in maiden races at Newmarket and Leicester, being placed both times. Dropped in class for her all-weather debut, she can open her account. Grecian Goddess hasn't proved too consistent but can be given a good chance on her second over 7f at Newmarket in August while Poyle Judy, Petrichor and Whitecrest have shown enough so far to come into the reckoning.
Our Gal has the best form on offer here and will take some stopping if proving as effective on polytrack as turf. Grecian Goddess and Whitecrest are others that should be in the shake-up.

PROPHET IN A DREAM is burdened by a 6lb penalty after his 6f success at Nottingham but he was eased that day with the race in the bag. He's yet to win in four starts on the all-weather but looks well treated on his form on an artificial surface and gets the vote tonight.
Mick Channon holds the key to the race, with Prophet In A Dream preferred to stablemate Saucy Book. Pleasant Humor rates the most likely improver of the handicap debutants.

A safer bet here could be MISSCOMPLACENT, still a maiden after eight starts but a close third over this trip at Wolverhampton last time on her all-weather debut. Dropped in class tonight and fitted with first time blinkers, she looks capable of breaking her duck now.
Recent winners Cinderkamp and Duquesa are likely to make bold bids to defy their penalties, but Madame Solitaire has shaped well in maiden company so far and is taken to make a winning start in nurseries.

Slight preference in this tricky affair is for PEARL ICE, who only failed by a short head to land the spoils over 5f on the all-weather at Lingfield on debut. He was running on well at the finish on that occasion and this extra furlong should boost his chances. The improving Three Sparrows was second over 7f at Newbury latest and drops in class but was well held on that occasion and tackles the all-weather for the first time and Blowing Bubbles, a close third over 6f at Wolverhampton on her second run, might be a safer bet for the forecast.
Pearl Ice made an encouraging start at Lingfield recently, and with that experience under his belt he's expected to have too much speed for Three Sparrows and Blowing Bubbles.

In a trappy contest, BLUE TIGER'S EYE makes most appeal. This is his toughest task to date and he has to give weight to all these rivals but was an easy winner over this trip on the polytrack at Lingfield on just his second start last month and there should be plenty more to come. Lingfield all-weather winner Introvert hasn't been out of the first three in his five starts and looks a live threat while Thirsk winner Mutajare and Newcastle scorer Pearl Arch have sound chances.
Blue Tiger's Eye was impressive at Lingfield and could be up to defying top weight on his nursery bow. There are a few other progressive sorts up against him so he won't have things all his own way, Sagramor and Mutajare a couple who are likely to make their presence felt.

Winning doesn't come easy to this lot but VOYSEY is fairly unexposed and is worth supporting tonight. He's definitely making progress, coming down the handicap and might not have too much to find to land this. Tower is starting to look exposed but has put in some good efforts and should be thereabouts while Jennerous Blue is in good form and could take a hand in the finish if raising her game slightly.
Jennerous Blue will rarely get a better opportunity to shed her maiden status and makes much more appeal than anything else in this contest. Jewellery may bounce back to form now tried in a visor, whilst a market move for top weight Defence of Realm would look significant.

It's hard to see any of these getting the better of BEGGAR'S OPERA, who followed up on a debut third over 1m 2f at Wolverhampton with an impressive 1m 4f win at Lingfield. He looks very well treated on his handicap debut and should be capable of following up. Sierra Alpha hasn't won since scoring at Warwick on his debut but has put in some good efforts since. He could be the one for the forecast but Ipswich Lad, a C&D maiden winner, could go well blinkered for the first first time.
On Khee seemed not to handle soft going last time and remains of interest judged on her clear-cut success at Windsor prior to that. She gets the nod over Sierra Alpha, second to Arctic Cosmos no less over C&D in June.
