DANNY KIRWAN appeared to be showing some of his old verve before weakening in the latter stages to finish fifth at Chepstow last month. Paul Nicholls' charge is entitled to improve for that comeback run and he makes plenty of appeal racing off top-weight in this contest. A spin over hurdles at that same meeting should have put Le Ligerien spot on for this switch to chasing and the fellow veteran isn't taken lightly, with Hatcher making most appeal of the remainder.

ANGEL'S DREAM gamely won a maiden hurdle at Plumpton in May and an opening mark of 100 looks workable for Gary Moore's gelding. His stablemate Sanitiser has yet to convince with his stamina in this sphere, but it's too soon to be writing the four-year-old off given his ability on the level.
