APPLAUS has ran with credit on both outings over hurdles to date behind two decent prospects at Newcastle in Sam Spinner and Elgin who have both since franked the form of their corresponding races and the step up in distance will no doubt suit Micky Hammond's individual. Blakerigg can be forgiven a poor effort on his hurdling debut at Ayr but should appreciate the extra couple of furlongs along with Minella Suite.
