Halo Of Freedom has had plenty of opportunities to break her duck and has claims of doing so here. Given her record it's worth taking a chance on SWISS AFFECTION who shaped well in second place on her return from a break and should have more in the locker on only her fifth career start.
HALO'S SONG returned for her first start since November with a highly creditable third with today's rival, Smarty's Money, down the field in tenth. She should be able to improve on that on her second start for Melvin Frame. She may have most to fear from Everybuddysbizness who took third over C&D a week ago and is capable of going close if in the same form.
Several newcomers in the field make this a difficult puzzle for punters who should keep an eye on the market. M'Lady Chestnut has yet to take home any stakes money but must have claims in this contest. POSSIBLY SILVER has finished second on two occasions this season and may be able to take gold tonight on her first attempt on turf.
NATURES CANDY can use her blistering early pace to good advantage to follow up his cosy success in April on his first visit to the track. True Honor is in form but may be best watched on his first start for a new barn on his first attempt on grass. Skip Irish would have chances on the pick of last year's efforts but has yet to place this year.
Nashvillessurprise looks sure to be popular dropping in class having run third over C&D earlier this month. It may be worth taking a punt on O'HENRY'S PEAK being able to scale the heights on his return from an eight-month absence. He showed enough when last seen to win this and encouragingly was produced to make a winning debut. Cadaver and Running Play rate the main dangers from the remainder.
Quick American was a beaten favourite when well held in March and may be best watched this evening. CLASSIC HENRY steps up from a sprint and has been holding his form pretty well. It's his first attempt on grass and he should go well. Dance Proudly is another to consider but may just need this run, his first in 6 months.
Pyrite Search has claims but was unable to deliver for favourite backers in April. He should improve on his second start since December but may struggle to get the better of last-time-out winner ROYAL MEDAL who has his first start on grass here. Lababa has shown good speed on turf but may struggle to make all and Ashlar is worth a second look stepping up to a route for her second start of the year.
Darn That Cobra failed to justify favouritism on his return from a lay-off but can't be ruled out with that run under his belt, while Groovy Bandit is regularly in the frame. However, DESIGNER DIGS will strip fitter for his third in a higher grade over C&D earlier this month and looks the one to beat for a yard in form.
