Kendelu made it back-to-back successes despite being hampered at the start last time, though a 9lb rise for that win could prove tough to overcome as he steps away from his beloved Taunton. Nelsons Rock was raised 4lb for a Taunton success but is up 6lb for finishing second at Ludlow last time, so CHAMPAGNE NOIR gets the vote. Charlie Longsdon's charge has found wins hard to come by, but has run some very solid races in defeat and gets another chance off the same mark as when second at Hereford last time.

He is likely to give a good account in his bid to remain unbeaten, but giving 7lb to LAST ROYAL may prove too much for him. Hello Sunshine looks interesting after a wind operation and, if she can bounce back to the form that saw her win at Uttoxeter in May, she could be a player.
