OURS made a winning start for new connections when staying on doggedly to land a 2m chase at Southwell 11 days ago. He has a fair burden to carry but defied top-weight at Southwell and should cope with this step up in trip. He had previously obliged at Uttoxeter with real authority and it may be that the distance that day was too short, especially as he is back up in trip here. Urban Warrior has been going well in handicap hurdles and should be thereabouts, while Nicky Henderson's hurdling debutant Dont Tell The Wife is also of interest. Adroit Approach has yet to encounter ground of this nature and returns after a lay-off.

Strong Coffee has the edge in fitness and experience but gives away nearly half a stone to some potentially useful chasing recruits. Oliver Sherwood's gelding seeks a hat-trick but was not impressive at Southwell in a weak contest and HOLD EM, far superior over hurdles, should be good enough to make a successful fencing debut. Georgian King has a fair strike-rate over hurdles despite flattering to deceive on occasions, and it will be interesting to see what he makes of the larger obstacles.

CAPE GREKO enjoys it round here and the C&D winner gets the nod in a tricky affair. His recent run behind Blazing Bailey in a ladies' flat race should have got rid of any cobwebs and he should arrive here spot on. Laoch Dubh dominated his field throughout when winning at Bangor latest but his four career wins have been well spaced out. Urban Tiger is in good heart and could be a bigger threat, although C&D winner Green Gamble could be the main danger of all if ready for this reappearance.

This is moderate fare and it looks best to keep stakes to a minimum, with three of the leading contenders moving up from selling company. North Walk was especially impressive when, heavily backed, he routed his field at Fakenham before being bought back in. He is clearly better than that grade but is up 22lb and this is harder. MUCHO LOCO showed he can operate above selling level when a close third in handicap company at Towcester and is just preferred. Star Tenor and Bolton Hall are also respected.
