A return to a longer trip and a change of scenery since his last outing might have done KING BORU a few favours in his bid to end a winless run that stretches back as far as 2013. The former Dan Skelton-trained gelding ran well enough at Worcester on his final appearance for the stable to suggest that a race such as this would be within his grasp and he should be able to use his stamina to make a pleasing debut for Rebecca Menzies. Victor Hewgo is on an attractive mark of 110 and ran better here last time out, while Smadynium has previous here and deserves a second glance.

The removal of a hood seemed to work a treat for BUCKLED at Perth earlier this month, as he travelled in fine style to see off a modest field.
