Challow was further back in fifth there and has place possibilities, while Follow Your Fire and The Silver Prince were both popular with punters on that occasion when departing before the race began to take real shape and have to be respected here. Sue Smith holds a strong hand here and her Captain Moirette could appreciate the return to hurdles having run better than the bare result may suggest at Uttoxeter last time. However, it is stablemate AIRE VALLEY LAD who shades the verdict, stepping up in trip having opened his account over two miles in handy style on good ground last September. He could have plenty more to come now. Embole has been a disappointing favourite the last twice, but was a clear-cut winner at Southwell before that and may return to his best here, while Ask Paddington was denied by just a head over course and distance in the autumn and has to be respected even though he now faces a career-high mark.
