Irish-raider Island Mahee has held her form well since winning at Musselburgh in the spring but this undulating track places new demands on her and she may be worth taking on at cramped odds. The lightly-raced West End Lady looks a viable alternative going over a longer trip, but preference is for METHAG, who has gone close in her only two previous attempts at this C&D. The most recent of which came when beating everything bar a well-handicapped sort on ground arguably quicker than ideal in June.
