Haddex Des Obeaux got off the mark at the second time of asking over obstacles and the four-year-old is a fascinating contender on stable debut. He is untested on this surface, though, and OUR SURPRISE is narrowly favoured to land the spoils. The son of Jeremy left a lasting impression when romping home at Newton Abbot in April and he gets the nod to hit the ground running this term. Baddesley hasn't been seen since January 2020 but he warrants interest on his hurdling bow.
HADDEX DES OBEAUX displayed a willing attitude when landing a big-field contest at Auteuil in April, pulling a long way clear with another rival, and he has been found a suitable race on reappearance. Our Surprise also tasted success during the spring and is the obvious threat having undergone a wind op in the interim.

With that in mind, preference is for GEORGE BANCROFT, who arrives here on the back of two career-best efforts on the Flat and he looks to be a promising type.
