SAMOVAR made a pleasing debut when running on well to finish second in a blanket finish. It was only his third start and first on the poly and he should have a big chance. However a wide draw is a concern. RED CHINA was 0,80 lengths behind him and has the better draw again. He should love the drop in trip. JASON ARGO 'came on' with blinkers and has a 2,5kg appy claim now.

Verdict

NOORDHOEK ICE like Samovar in an earlier race is a Dean Kannemeyer inmate that showed good potential on local debut and this one drew beautifully. He runs over the same track and trip and should be hard to beat. THE LONSDALE is bred for it and after a long bout of honest form deserves his first win. SUZIE'S ARROW has shown potential, KEPLER can earn after gelding.

Verdict

Nothing stands out and one of the youngsters could improve enough to land it. MAKE MY OWN LUCK is an Aussie bred that hasn't sprinted badly but could love the longer trip. A 4kg appy claim should also benefit. CHERRY TREE LANE showed little on debut but could be the stable elect over GRAND JURY who must improve back on poly. She debuted well here. Verdict

LAST TIGER is on a roll and goes for four in a row. He loves 1400 metres but he is by Eyeofthetiger and has run well over this trip on turf before. SOVEREIGN REIGN got beat by a Kannemeyer inmate last time but could get revenge as he is proven over this trip. He has drawn better.
