DUNGANNON progressed nicely last term and entered his four-year-old career with relatively few miles on the clock. He was far from disgraced on his reappearance after an eight-month break at Ascot this month when finishing in mid-division, only beaten five lengths, by Imperial Guest. That should have blown away the cobwebs and he looks interesting off this mark. Take Ten has his first run under the Godolphin banner and looked an improved sprinter towards the end of 2010 for Mark Johnston. He'll go well if ready, whilst Fathsta seems sure to go well as usual despite conceding weight all round.
A useful and competitive sprint, but if there's a progressive type in the line-up it's Dungannon who caught the eye at Ascot on his return. Crown Choice can't have been right when behind that one there and is worth another chance to build on his promising third at Pontefract, while Take Ten has to be considered on his debut for in-form Mahmood Al Zarooni.

BEACHFIRE and Harlestone Times arrive with similar profiles in that they have been selectively campaigned to date and look likely to make very useful four-year-olds open to significant improvement. The former just gets the nod after taking time to warm to his task at Chester latest. He's displayed a resolute attitude in winning four of his seven races, three times prevailing in photo finishes. Harlestone Times is going to be a tough opponent though and confirmed his well-being with a solid effort in the Great Metropolitan last month. He''ll improve from that while Halicarnassus and Chock A Block should run well too.
The lightly-raced Harlestone Times still looked very much a handicapper on the upgrade at Epsom on his reappearance and can take another step up the ladder here. Beachfire and Classic Vintage look the main dangers.

A really interesting Listed contest and cases can be made for all eight runners. However, SPANISH DUKE was massively impressive on his reappearance at Epsom and is fully deserving of a step up in grade after dismissing a useful handicap field with the minimum of fuss. His turn of foot is a potent weapon. Forte De Miami has been brought along with typical Cumani patience and is surely good enough to make a splash in this grade. He has no Await The Dawn to contend with this time. Sea Of Heartbreak and Principal Role both should enjoy fruitful four-year-old campaigns.
A tight listed event, with all 8 able to be given some sort of chance, but Forte Dei Marmi is likely to be winning at this level before long and can build on his recent good effort at Chester. Al Zir and last year's winner Class Is Class may provide the stiffest resistance.

Some interesting newcomers appear here and a market check is essential, but TRUMPET MAJOR sets the standard and can atone for a fine debut effort at Newbury when powering home just too late, succumbing by a nose and short-head. He'd have won in a couple more strides, will benefit from the experience and can score here before going on to better things for the Hannon team. Ewell Place built on his opener when runner-up over 6f latest and there could be more to come, while Right To Dream looks the most interesting newcomer on paper.
An interesting maiden with some appealing pedigrees on show, and Trumpet Major sets a decent standard bidding to give his yard a fourth consecutive win in the race. Ewell Place and Macdonald Mor look next best.

Steele Tango is a fine standard bearer for the Roger Teal yard and showed he's as good as ever this year with a series of commendable efforts in Meydan and a solid Group 3 effort at Newmarket last time. In many ways he's the logical choice but JET AWAY looked a colt of some potential when obliging in a messy affair at Lingfield and could progress significantly with only six career starts to date. He's just preferred for the in-form Cecil yard. Passion For Gold was last of three behind the selection at Lingfield but should get closer here.
Neither Jet Away nor Passion For Gold have tried this trip before but both seem sure to stay it and preference is for the former who posted a career best on his recent comeback. With stamina doubts over Steele Tango, Roxy Flyer can get third.

Like many a John Dunlop inmate, ANTON DOLIN has improved for a step up in trip and he'll surely progress again with time and experience. His trainer has a masterful record with such types. Watered Silk looks a tough opponent though, having also proved to be a different proposition altogether over longer distances after three sprint runs as a juvenile. He reversed Kempton form with Gower Rules back at the Sunbury venue but had to settle for second at Salisbury on Thursday. Keep an eye out for any market support for Memory Lane on her seasonal reappearance over this more suitable trip.
The progressive Anton Dolin might just have too many guns for another improver Watered Silk, with the reappearing Memory Lane just preferred to Romeo Montague for third after the latter blotted his copybook last time.

This could revolve around the fitness of YASMEENA, who looked a useful filly in the making when scoring with something to spare at Bath on the second of her two juvenile outings. However, that was last August and the market should provide the best indication regarding stable expectations. Best Be Careful, Welsh Inlet and Whitecrest were separated by less than half a length at Windsor earlier this month and there should be little between them once again. Vicona is an interesting contender in that she wasn't disgraced on her handicap debut last time at Salisbury and should improve for that effort.
Yasmeena hasn't been out since last summer but she's well bred to be going handicapping off a mark of 71 and can make a winning return. Beautiful Day is still lightly raced on turf, so may yet reproduce his fibresand form, while the consistent Welsh Inlet seems sure to be thereabouts again.
