That looks the strongest form in the book so he gets the vote, but Kolaphos is equally matched with the selection on official figures and gets 3lb from that rival. The Kayf Tara gelding beat a future scorer by seven lengths when last sighted and is a big danger. Lord Scoundrel bids for a hat-trick after making a winning reappearance at Punchestown and cannot be discounted.

VERY WOOD was most disappointing at the Punchestown Festival after his victory in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, but he won first time out at this meeting last year and should have too much class for these rivals. Ancient Sands could be best placed to capitalise on any slip-up from the selection as he wasn't beaten by far in a competitive Flat handicap at Naas and can run a big race if transferring that performance to fences. The Job Is Right was decent over timber and may improve from his recent chase debut at Punchestown.

It might be worth taking a chance on SOLAR HEAT after she bolted up in a Dundalk handicap. The Jeremy mare only has modest form over hurdles but she looks the one to side with now her confidence is presumably buoyed by that Flat success.
