Little to go on here but MAXIMO STAR ran well for a long way on his debut over five furlongs at Belmont last month and could be the one to be on, dropped in trip and class. Freuds On Holidays has something to find on his debut effort at Presque Isle Downs but also drops in class but the newcomer Princess d'Oro has been working out well and might not be too far away.
Gammy's A Winner, You Willgo Broke, Run Mikey Run and Merlin Circle finished second, third fourth and fifth in a similar contest over C&D last time and should be thereabouts tonight but slight preference is for FAST APPROACH, who has form in better contests. He's improved over three runs following a winter break, only going down by a neck in a similar contest here last time and has very little to find to land this.
Legal Tendora landed a similar contest over C&D this month and, on that effort, has the measure of Edubaiyah Way (fourth) and New York Style (ninth) but might find one too good in the shape of EVERMON, who ran out of steam when well beaten in better company over C&D this month. That was his first run for six months and he won a $7.5k claimer here back in November. If he's come on for the run, he should take all the beating.
JUNALUSKA only got home by a neck in a similar contest over C&D this month but has hit top form lately and looks capable of following up here. The Artist has been running in better company and must be given a chance in this grade while the Luis Huertas pair, Honor Corp and King Kong Kingdoms are not without chances.
Sandy Castle finished runner-up last time but she was beaten a long way and she has her work cut out with PENNYANNIE COWGIRL on the form book so JudyTuretsky's representative gets the call. Lieu Dit has been showing promise in his workouts and is the most interesting of the newcomers.
A bold bid can be expected of the Acquilano pair, Short Time Affair and Shachner, and Goes should be involved at the business end of the contest but BAIT AND SWITCH could be the one to beat. He won over this C&D in this grade earlier this month and a reproduction of that effort might be good enough.
PUNT'S KITTY has filled the runner-up berth on both starts since scoring here in April but has been mixing in better company and she can make the most of this drop in class. Straight n'Narrow, capable at this level, and Leader Of The Lite, a C&D winner last time out, will be ready to pounce if the selection fluffs her lines.
There should be no need to look beyond LISA'S BOOBY TRAP here. Following a facile debut success, she maintained her 100 per cent recorded in equally-impressive fashion over 6f here earlier this month and, with the step up in trip expected to suit, this smart-looking filly should make it three out of three. Got Clearance has been knocking on the door over C&D and can chase the selection home ahead of Gatto Nero.
STEALSIGGYSTHUNDER has finished ahead of some of these rivals en route to filling the runner-up spot on her last four starts and tonight could be her night. The return to 6f should suit and she deserves a change of luck. Money Charger has claims if back on song but the selection could have more to fear from Sea Mint, a newcomer from the in-form Charlton Baker stable.
