BLU CAVALIER switches back to hurdles after placing on his chase debut behind Jerrysback at Bangor at the start of last month and this huge drop in class should see this prove easy pickings for Paul Nicholls' gelding. Vancouver has a first-time hood which could see him find some improvement on recent efforts in this sphere, while Cliffside Park may have benefited from a 136-day break having struggled in the summer.
BLU CAVALIER takes a marked drop in class, and with question marks surrounding Vancouver and Cliffside Park, he really should successfully concede weight all round.

Polo The Mumm won his first race over fences at Wincanton, having shown very little before that effort, so it would take a huge leap of faith to trust him to back that performance up. Apachee Prince finished third at Southwell 16 days ago and the drop in trip won't prove to be an issue, but the vote goes to SIDEWAYS. He posted a good effort over further when not beaten far into third at Ffos Las last month and a set of cheekpieces, along with an aggressive ride, can see him reap the rewards.
POLO THE MUMM's profile suggests that he's far from certain to reproduce the form of last month's Wincanton success. However, that is the most compelling recent form tabled in this contest and the 9-y-o is taken to follow up, perhaps the chief expense of Sideways. Apachee Prince is best of the rest.

THE VERY THING crossed the line in front here a fortnight ago before being subsequently disqualified and placed second. He remains open to further improvement and the step up in trip looks ideal for the son of Getaway. Kilbrew Boy got off the mark at the third attempt over timber over C&D and appeals on his handicap debut, while Ceara Be completes the shortlist trying 2m4f for the first time.
THE VERY THING was rightfully demoted here last time, but looks the type to go on progressing for a while, particularly as this longer trip should suit on pedigree, so he's a confident choice to make amends, with All My Love his biggest danger and Ceara Be not ruled out.

Olly Murphy has had plenty of success at this venue and his course-and-distance winner Todd appeals off a 3lb higher mark than when successful here last time and with a 7lb claimer taking over. Stablemate The Geegeez Geegee is entering the veteran stage of his career, but is worthy of a marker check. However, preference is for YOUKNOWELL, who wasn't beaten far in a mares' handicap at Leicester last time and looked full of running when a mistake at the first hurdle in the home straight checked her momentum. A stronger-run race will suit and the return to further off just a 1lb higher mark could make her hard to beat.
YOUKNOWELL scored in good style at Plumpton on her penultimate start and likely would have followed up but for making a momentum-stopping error 3 out at Leicester last month. From a 1 lb higher mark, she can gain compensation. Todd and Aptly Put, upped in trip, are others fancied to feature.

MOLLY CAREW stayed on well for second behind a useful winner at Sandown on her reappearance and that performance suggests she should have plenty of milage in her as a chaser. The extra furlong should suit and she could be much better than her current rating. Volt Face switches back to fences off a sliding mark and a summer wind operation may not have had the full effect yet, while Craigmor found three miles a step to far last time and will be much more comfortable over this trip.
CRAIGMOR can't have been right at Bangor when last seen in July and is well worth another chance back from a break for a stable which does so well here. Molly Carew rates an obvious danger on the back of her Sandown chase debut second, while point-winner The Drone is also respected now switched to fences.

Kings Inn produced a career best when second at Doncaster last time, but that really was a winnable race and this speedier circuit may not suit. Preference, therefore, is for STARJAC, who gave the talented Didtheyleaveuoutto a race when only beaten a neck over course and distance last time. Olly Murphy's duo Some Boy Mccoy and Swaffham Bulbeck are others with real possibilities of being in the shake-up, while Queen Adelaide is turned out quickly having disappointed at Doncaster at the weekend.
HAVANA HERMANO failed to match his hurdling debut form at Huntington last month, but that was a hot race and he should make much more of an impact here. Kings Inn and Swaffham Bulbeck are feared most.
