Roman Numeral has place claims if building on his Catterick second in a selling handicap last time out and is considered the main danger ahead of Ulysses, who debuts for Stuart Edmunds and sports first-time cheekpieces.

MONEY FOR NOTHING needs to step up on his latest hurdles effort at Plumpton over 2m in order to figure but this stiffer test may be a source of immediate improvement and he's fairly treated on his best chase form now moving back over the larger obstacles. Recent course second Oakidoaki remains unexposed over fences and has place claims along with Touch Screen, who is 6lb higher than when scoring over 2m4f at Lingfield in November.

With James King aboard, OAKIDOAKI looks the one to be on. The 6-y-o arguably posted his best effort yet when runner-up over C&D 13 days ago and can make it third time lucky in this sphere. Money For Nothing is a long-standing maiden and there are doubts surrounding Little Windmill (ground), Triptico and last year's winner Wish In A Well (both out of form), therefore Touch Screen is next best.

ARTIFICE SIVOLA was still in contention when falling three out over fences here in November and if that tumble hasn't knocked his confidence, he's capable of going well off the same mark now reverting to hurdles. Fixed Rate is 5lb higher than when winning at Doncaster last month but was soundly beaten off this mark at the same venue last time. The main danger may be Mamoo, who struck off 2lb lower over C&D on his penultimate outing and is now sporting a first-time visor.

More Than Luck is 8lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Taunton in November but he isn't the most straightforward of rides and may be worth taking on with recent C&D scorer MINELLA GATHERING, who is expected to take a 3lb rise in his stride and notch a third hurdles victory. Phare Isle is vulnerable to improvers at this stage of his career but he has dropped 3lb lower than when scoring over this track and trip in April.

Mullaghboy was a faller here on his chase debut, however, Olly Murphy's seven-year-old was a winner over hurdles here earlier in the winter and could be capable of going close here with a clear round. He faces a stern task, though, taking on NORSE LIGHT, who is looking to follow up his Huntingdon Boxing Day triumph under a 7lb penalty and David Dennis' experienced campaigner has been in rude health this season.
