Verdict

A small field but an interesting race. Trainer Alan Greeff has struggled with his newcomers of late but Rafeef gelding ZAMBEZI SUNSET can get his winning turn. He has already been gelded so should be ready for his debut and has Richard Fourie in the irons. SUPREME JUDGE is threatening to win a race and can go one better this time but all that form has been on the Polytrack. AMIOK is a Global View filly making her debut. ATLANTIC PEARL and MONEY GALORE both make their debuts and could earn some money.

Verdict

GOLDEN GREY has been unlucky not to win at this centre. He has proven to be a difficult ride but deserves a winning turn. CHEERFUL CHARLIE B has some fair form and can contest the finish. PYRO EDITION makes his local debut and could improve. PROLIFIC STAR seems better than his local debut and could be a threat. GARDEN SUN and FIZZLY BUBBLY have both shown improvement of late and can get involved with the finish. TOWER OF LONDON is improving and has a place chance.

Verdict

It does not come much more competitive than this handicap. ANCHOR MAN is in good form but he can expect many challenges all up the straight. MASTER INCOLOR did not seem to see out the Derby distance and could do a lot better this track and trip. GLOBETONIC has some fair recent form and can get involved with the finish again. WINTER EMERALDS won well last time out and could be better than rated. LADY LUCK carries a penalty for her latest win and this does look a tougher task. ONLY A POET can improve on local debut.

Verdict

GOLDEN PALM is improving and has won both her starts for jockey Richard Fourie. She should be better than these rivals and bigger and better races than this are her destiny. AUGUSTA ROSSO was not disgraced last time out and could like this longer distance. BAROLO has not done much wrong so far and should fight out the finish. ROYAL CITY GIRL shows talent and can be a threat. FIERY COUNTESS and SILVA CITY need to improve to win this race but could be involved in the battle for some minor money.
