Verdict

EMERALD FLAME has been battling for some time now and although at the top of his game recently, he may not be quite good enough to win this. He can, however, earn some more money for his connections. FLOWER'S RIDGE has been disappointing in his last two starts but could relish the drop in distance and run an improved race. BOLD CAPTAIN is another that lacks extra very late in the race but should run well once again over this course and distance. The filly WIFE OF WINDSOR could be the one to beat in this weak field.

Verdict

A very weak field,so expect any type of result. MEZZYOONA makes her local debut and would not be a surprise winner. LA SICARIA didn't go the distance last time out and should do a lot better over this track and trip. GRACE LIGHTNING has produced two very bad runs lately but if returning to her best she can win in a field like this. Although a bit disappointing in that she has yet to win a race SIEVER'S POINT has done enough to suggest she is a possible winner. Stable companion BOBBETY BOO could also earn some minor money.

A tough race to confidently find the winner. TALIA AL GHUL is in top form and is course and distance suited so deserves the utmost respect. JUSTADOREHER is seeking a hat-trick of wins and must be considered. PRINCESS OF FIRE is coming off a solid win last time out but does appear to prefer that longer distance now. GIMME GIMME GIMME is holding her form well and a win could come as soon as this race. She needs to be included in all the exotics. Although not having won for some time now, SCARBOROUGH FAIR remains in good form of late and could earn some money. Verdict

Another open handicap and we may need to go wide to survive the exotics. RAISE THE STANDARD quickened nicely to win on local debut and could have a few more wins in him. KING JULIAN was a disappointment on local debut but could recoup some losses if showing his best side. LOTUS KING is holding form and does have a winning chance. ARKAAN looked solid in his maiden win and could also be better than rated so must be considered.

Verdict

A tough race. KINGSTON ROCK has been very disappointing in the Eastern Cape but cannot be dismissed entirely as his Merit Rating continues to drop. MAGIC SAILOR loves this surface and although badly drawn can go close. LINE OF POWER makes his local debut and his form is good enough to win a race like this. GLOBAL DESIGN has some fair recent form and deserves respect. RED BISHOP is coming off a confidence-boosting maiden win and could be a danger.
