Verdict

LA VIDA LOCA has been holding her form well in Kwa-Zulu-Natal and that form should be good enough to score on local debut. STAR OF ELENA was not disgraced on her debut and should fight out the finish. CLEVER CANDY makes her local debut and has not run too badly in the Western Cape. She would not be a surprise winner. RUBY CLAIRE was too far back last time out and is battling to win. BEZONDER does seem better than what she showed last time.

DUTCHESS D'ORANGE has run well in both her starts on the turf since changing trainers and could beat these rivals trying the Polytrack. GENTEEL has not been reliable but she is capable of getting involved in the finish once again. OH MANDY could like this longer distance and deserves respect. Verdict

Trainer Alan Greeff looks to have a decent hand in this race. TRAVEL MASTER has good form around this course and distance and can go close to winning. Stable companion ORIGINAL COPY has Richard Fourie in the irons. She impressed when winning on debut but flopped in her second start. SOUND OF THE SEA could show vast improvement trying the Polytrack and is another to include in all bets. MISS SHAIVI can get into the battle for a stake cheque. SWISS WALT is not reliable but was a good winner last week and can follow up. RAVILIOUS and RESURGENCE both hold winning chances.

USA'S HOPE got caught too far back last time out. His rider will be more aware of his ability this time round and he can make amends. MERCANTOUR has run well in both his local starts and should be a real threat to these rivals. FIRST ORIGIN is very speedy and should try to make all, but his rivals will be aware of that danger. CLIFF TOP has not been at his very best for some time now but is capable of getting involved in the finish. SPEED RACER has been struggling this year but could improve after a change of trainer and a switch to the Polytrack. ABOUND has a place chance.

Verdict

GOLDEN GREY is clearly a hard horse to win with, but he has been runner-up in two of his last three starts and could like his first try on the Polytrack. ALWAYS SHINING likes this surface and was touched off on the grass last time out so should be a threat. AMERICAN PITBULL and MASTER WIZARD need to do more to win a race but could earn. Verdict

A race to go wide in all exotics. PASHTUNWALI is not well drawn but is suited to this course and distance and could pop up and score. CHARLIE MALONE has been unreliable of late but is capable of contesting the finish. SILVER TYCOON has not been beaten far in his last two starts and can contest the finish. LEGAL THRILLER and GUARDING THE WALL are clearly better than what they showed last time out and should be included in all bets. JAMBO SANA loves this course and distance and is another to consider.
