Kaleo topped a fine season last year by landing this but has disappointed in three runs this term. Ramona Chase is 7lb worse off after last month's C&D success but goes well here and can't be ruled out while the in-form pair, Kithonia and Plaisterer, has run well in better company and have serious claims. It could, however, pay to take a chance on RESURGE who goes well at this venue. He wasn't beaten far in a higher grade at Newbury latest and ran out an easy winner over this C&D on similar ground last month.
There's nothing between Resurge and Plaisterer on their recent C&D running, and the former is a tentative selection.

Roman Eagle struggled over 7f at Newmarket last time in a valuable sales race but has far less to do here. However, if CAFE ELEKTRIC can reproduce the same level of form as when landing a 1m novice event at Ayr last time, he could take all the beating. His debut win came at Brighton so the undulations in the track here shouldn't bother him and he looks open to plenty of improvement.
A case can be made for both of the runners, but Roman Eagle looks to have the more potential.

In a wide-open contest it could pay to side with EPSOM SALTS, who has won five times over this trip, including here on the last two occasions. He's back down to his last winning handicap mark and, after generally running over longer trips this season, he should take all the beating over his favourite track and trip. Super Duplex is chasing a hat-trick after wins at Windsor and here, but another 5lb may anchor him, while Lingfield winner Silent Act also looks held at the weights.
Penang Cinta is capable of a bold bid, but 2 members of the Classic generation make most appeal in this handicap, Missionaire and Fantastic Strike. The former is on a good mark and should represent some value.

Hard to rule any of these out but the progressive MAKEYNN looks capable of giving weight away all round to land the spoils. He was caught close home when second over 7f at Brighton on his debut last month and followed up with a hugely impressive victory over this trip at Wolverhampton. There looks to be plenty more to come. Barathea Dancer, second over a mile at Kempton this month and on an upward curve, looks the main danger but chances could also be given to Plea, One Lucky Lady and Time To Work.
The vote goes to Makeynn, who represents the bang in-form Godolphin yard. Colour Vision will be dangerous if bouncing back from a below-par effort last time, while Time To Work is also worth considering.

Chepstow winner Agony And Ecstasy struggled last time at Goodwood and may have too much weight now, a remark that also applies to the ultra-consistent Pintura, twice a winner this year and placed five times. CONCILIATORY has also attracted the attentions of the handicapper following a double in August but he still looks reasonably weighted - especially as his York success was in a better race. He's less exposed than his rivals and wasn't beaten far off this mark at Kempton last time.
Pintura is a model of consistency and should be thereabouts again, but Pittodrie Star is unexposed and shaped well on good to soft ground at Warwick last time. He's chanced in first-time cheekpieces, while Guest Book could figure if coping with the ground.

All Action tackles his easiest task to date but has looked flattered by the form figures of his first three starts and needs to improve. Piano and Aneel have performed with credit but also need to raise their games and are passed over in favour of MOMKINZAIN. The twice-raced colt was always struggling when last in the Group 2 Great Voltigeur at York last month but impressed on her debut at Newbury in April when a close third in a tougher maiden than this. A repeat of that effort should be good enough here.
The way All Action folded again at Newmarket last time was concerning, but he's the pick on form here and should get off the mark. Piano might prove his biggest danger.

Beaver Patrol has won over 6f here and over 7f at Brighton last time and handles an undulating track but he may be in the grip of the handicapper now. Regeneration won over 7f at Wolverhampton last time off a 3lb lower mark but is a better horse on the all-weather and looks held here. Preference is for SPACE STATION, up 3lb for a cosy 7f Goodwood success this month. He also won over C&D and on turf at Lingfield recently. He could prove too good here.
Although Aflaam and Mishrif are appealing alternatives at the likely prices, Space Station is on a roll at present and is taken to chalk up his fourth win of the season.
