SLADE POWER lost little in defeat when runner-up to subsequent Middle Park third Reply on debut at the Curragh, and the strength of the form has been further boosted by the third going on to score at Listed level. Edward Lynam's charge must circumvent a wide berth here but rates the most likely winner. Pyrenean Music has been handed a kinder draw and could emerge as the principal danger if building on a fair C&D second last month. David Marnane's Harry Trotter, fifth behind the last-named in the same contest, and Friday Fever, stepped up in trip after lacking the toe for 5f latest, are also considered.
A maiden which revolves around Slade Power, who is expected to win if ready to do himself justice after a break. Pyrenean Music is the obvious danger among the others with experience, and Via Ballycroy makes as much appeal as any of the newcomers.

The exploits of Santo Padre last year and, more recently, Nocturnal Affair have highlighted David Marnane as a trainer to seriously respect in sprint races and his latest acquisition, ANGEL'S PURSUIT, looks of interest on his first run since leaving Richard Hannon. The selection was a Listed winner in Britain during 2010 and although efforts this year have been less impressive, the Pastoral Pursuits colt remains open to a little bit more improvement on polytrack and is hard to ignore the way the weights are framed. Admirable performer Duff, who landed a similar C&D contest in October, and the dropped-in-trip Rudolf Valentino are others to consider.
This can quickly be whittled down to just a handful of realistic contenders and it is possibly best left to Duff who is weighted to reverse recent course form with Gordon Lord Byron. Angel's Pursuit and Tornadodancer are others to consider.

Around three lengths separated second-placed Tannery and fourth-placed A Little Help in a C&D maiden here last week and both are entitled to build upon those efforts now moving into handicap company. However, preference is for FAST FINIAN, who was noted putting in his best work in the closing stages over 6f here last month and could have been let into handicaps on a good mark now stepped up to this longer trip. A good run from Pyrenean Music (ahead of the selection last time out) in the opener would strengthen his claims. The Kernigal is 10lb better off with the reopposing Banner Road based on their last time out running and neither can be ruled out in a wide open heat.
A highly competitive nursery in which plenty can be given a chance, but Banner Road created a good impression here last time and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Fast Finian and Tannery.

Having weakened in the closing stages over 1m here last month, this drop in trip boosts Tarrsille's chances of seeing out his race all the way to the line. A low draw will also assist in his bid to attack but preference is for QUEENIE KEEN, who found 6f an inadequate test when keeping on at the one pace here last time and is worth another try over this longer trip now eased 1lb. Solent Ridge, ahead of the selection when third in the same contest, races off the same mark again and is another to consider.
A wide-open handicap featuring a lot of regular visitors to this track. The Ger Lyons-trained pair, Tarrsille and Joe Eile, should both go well again with slight preference for the former at this trip. Tell The Wind should be there or thereabouts, whilst Quinmaster is capable of going well at a bigger price.

Ashton Rose, raised 6lb for scoring over 7f last time out, is respected in her quest for a four-timer while the hat-trick seeking Curl Cat is another that commands respect. However, marginal preference is for handicap debutant SWEET RHYTHM, who opened her account in a 6f maiden here back in September but had previously run creditably over this longer trip and looks on a fair mark now eased 2lb in the weights. Opening Nite endured a bitterly disappointing campaign on the turf this year but wasn't overly raced and is expected to fare better now returned to his favoured surface.

Last seen falling in the Champion 4yo Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival in May, Mister Carter remains interestingly weighted on the level. However, returning from a long break and over a trip that may be on the sharp side for him, preference is for DENNY CRANE.
