FEARNWOOD GIRL was no more than moderate on the level but he appears to be warming to the hurdling game and looked on the verge of an opening success when second to Point Of Light at Wexford earlier in the month. Further improvement could see her getting off the mark at the chief expense of Tara Warrior, who was back in third at Wexford. Final Approach was a smart handicapper on the level and strong market support for him on his hurdling debut could be worth heeding.
Final Approach looks a good recruit to hurdling for the powerful Mullins/Walsh partnership and should be able to get off the mark at the first attempt. Fearnwood Girl looks the most obvious danger and Katys Girl should place if back on song.

SHERNAZ was an impressive winner at Tramore last May and made a pleasing reappearance when third off a 7lb higher mark at Thurles in October. Another subsequent break suggests he's not the easiest to train but he's clearly talented and could be up to regaining the winning thread if fully tuned up. Spring Wine was disappointing at Down Royal last time but had previously run well when third at Clonmel and he is respected on that form. Market support for handicap newcomer Fr Dominic, for whom Andrew Lynch is an eye-catching booking, would also make him of interest.
Mylerstown has a bit to find with some of these, but conditions are set to be ideal, and it looks fairly significant that Shane Jackson takes the ride. Sound Out and High talk don't look to have their optimum conditions, but do appeal as the most solid place options.

Gordon Elliott saddles two and it's his handicap newcomer CABERNET SAUVIGNON who earns the vote. The four-year-old son of Dansili ran three times over timber near the end of last year, showing plenty of promise when third on his jumps bow at Punchestown. Although well beaten since, including in a 7f Flat race at Wolverhampton when last seen in December, he could be reasonably treated off an initial mark of 107. Stablemate Supreme All Star is respected, but Coliseum, Ilikeyou and Black Alpine may give the selection most to worry about.
Ilikeyou doesn't look to have been overly punished for her success at this track last time and looks to have solid claims of following up. Lock Mor Lad also has a good record here and should give a good account, whilst any market support for Supreme All Star would definitely be significant.

HAMPSHIRE EXPRESS sets the standard on official figures and although an early faller in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham earlier in the month, he can get back on track if none the worse for that recent tumble. Roi Du Mee, only 2lb inferior to the selection on ratings, returned from a winter break with a creditable display at Fairyhouse last month and should have more to offer after only seven career starts. L'Oiseau De Feu was only narrowly touched off at Naas last time but the handicapper has reacted with a 5lb rise.
Hampshire Express didn't cover himself in glory over at Cheltenham but he looks to have been found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways and is the clear form pick. Sciatin and Roi du Mee make the most appeal of the remainder.

BLAZE TRAILER remains open to improvement over fences and wasn't disgraced in a Flat race at Dundalk in November when last sighted. The seven-year-old is still seeking a first success over obstacles but he has been placed on a number of occasions, including twice over the larger obstacles. Rakamasi hinted at a return to form when third at Down Royal last time and should be involved in the finish, while Springmount is another to consider if back on song.
A trappy contest and Rakamasi is put up as a tentative selection, with the form of his recent third over timber reading relatively well. Ian Ferguson was responsible for the winner of this race 12 months ago and appears to have another outstanding chance today with CAULKIN. This King's Theatre gelding is sure to arrive fighting fit and full of confidence after scoring comfortably in a point-to-point contest at Tyrella just over three weeks ago. Harps Counsel is another who has been in decent form between the flags recently and rates the biggest threat, while Leaders Mate performed creditably over C&D last time and cannot be overlooked.
A competitive hunter and marginal preference goes to Piercestown Rocket who shaped well when third behind Nedzer's Return at Fairyhouse and should be up to building on that. Leaders Mate has solid previous form and can place along with The Snuffler.

FOILDUBH stepped up on a pleasing debut performance to take second behind Bishopsfurze (who finished a creditable seventh in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham since) at Fairyhouse last month and, with further improvement expected, he looks the one to beat. The Grassy has shown enough promise in past performances to suggest that he can go close here, while Labour Of Love represents the much respected Tom Taaffe team and could well be worth a second look in the betting market on his racecourse debut.
Clonard Lad is sure to have his supporters here but didn't show a great deal at Gowran and Foildubh looks a safer option. The Grassy wouldn't need to improve much to take a hand in the finish and Accurate Approach also merits consideration.
