Everything Zain finally got his head in front at Thurles last week and is respected but Hurricane Ridge got the better of him on his hurdling debut at Killarney in august and there is no obvious reason why Dessie Hughes' representative will reverse that form. Nonetheless, they will both have their work cut out to beat STOCKTONS WING. A three-time winner on that flat this year, there was plenty to like about his hurdling debut effort at Listowel and he is entitled to improve for that.

Noel Meade saddled the winner of this contest in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and appears to have another cracking chance with MONKSLAND this time around. The Beneficial gelding faces no easy task having to concede weight to some useful rivals, but he has by far and away the best form in the book, last seen finishing third in the Grade 1 Neptune Investment Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and the Castletown handler could hardly be in better form at the moment. Miley Shah rates the biggest threat having readily made all in a Grade 3 event at Punchestown latest, while Shadow Eile is no forlorn hope but needs to improve a fair bit to beat the selection.

An intriguing maiden hurdle in that it looks a match on paper between Bonisland and YES WAY HOSAY. The latter is preferred having created a favourable impression behind only Digeanta on his hurdling bow at Gowran Park last month and, only six lengths behind Champagne Fever in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at the festival in March, he sets the standard. BENEFFICIENT, winner of a Grade 1 novices' hurdle at Leopardstown in February, made a pleasing start to his chasing career when second over an adequate trip at Listowel in September. Tony Martin's charge is entitled to improve with the benefit of that experience under his belt while this longer trip is also known to suit.
