Very little to go on and the pair with experience haven't shown much. Sticking with trainers known for their newcomers looks the best strategy and few do better than Richard Hannon. His colt PEARL CHARM is a well bred sort who cost $155,000 as a foal and this son of the talented US mare Charmed Gift looks the on to be on. Hurricane Emerald, a son of the brilliant Hurricane Run, is another nice sort but the Mark Johnston horses often come on for their first outing and the well related Catchy Tune might pose a bigger threat.
Very few have run, which makes things rather tricky, but Catchy Tune makes plenty of appeal on paper, while Pearl Charm and Sanad are others to consider, though as ever in these events a betting check is vital.

This should go the way of JACK RACKHAM. His two wins from three starts this year have come on the polytrack at Wolverhampton but he has an equally-impressive record on turf and looks well weighted on his winning form on a natural surface. Grissom returned to form with a win over 6f at Hamilton but only got home by a short head and has another 4lb to carry now while Barons Spy is up 3lb for his narrow Bath success but has scored off a higher mark in the past. Fantasy Explorer has claims on his best form.
Fantasy Explorer comes with a bit of a wealth warning, but he has dropped markedly in the weights and could be worth chancing after shaping really well at Sandown last time. New Leyf and Barons Spy are others who enter the reckoning.

This can go the way of ELAND ALLY, a comfortable C&D winner in a maiden here last time. That success - at the eighth time of asking - might prove a confidence booster after several near misses and he should be capable of following up off this handicap mark. Captain Kolo has scored since landing a Catterick maiden last October but is running better than his form figures would suggest and cannot be ruled out while Abzolutely ended last season out of sorts but won off a 3lb higher mark at Ripon in August and has claims on that effort.
Eland Ally got off the mark with no fuss here last time and holds strong claims returned to handicap company. Captain Kolo was a fair way behind him at York last month but should take closer order this time having improved since.

This looks a good opportunity for STELLA POINT to open her account at the fourth time of asking. She's looked held in her three starts so far but has been running in much tougher contests and her close fourth in a Listed race over this trip at Newbury last month looks the best form on offer tonight. Moonsail was a good second in both starts last year and, if she's improved over winter, could prove a threat on her seasonal reappearance, although Sir Henry Cecil's newcomer, Word Power, ticks plenty of boxes on paper and could mount a bold showing.
Stella Point shaped well again last time and is fancied to get off the mark. Moonsail and newcomer Word Power are a couple of others to consider in a race featuring plenty with their best days ahead of them.

Plenty in with chances but it might pay to side with CONO ZUR. Twice a winner this year, he was well beaten twice last month but returned to form with a close third over C&D this month. He could be up to scoring tonight off the same handicap mark. White Diamond has been placed three times in her last five starts but she needs a little more in order to land this contest. Elijah Pepper and Ajdaad could go close but both need to raise their games slightly.
Hawaana has dropped to a tempting mark and could be worth chancing on a rare try at 1m given the likelihood of a good gallop. Fibs And Flannel and Petomic need to bounce back from poor runs but will be dangerous if they do.

A wide open contest but it might pay to take a chance on CAELIS, who could have the edge if the fitting of a first-time visor does the trick. He was well held on the polytrack at Kempton this month but just failed over this trip at Newbury before that and might be able to get his head in front now with the help of the new headgear. Sairaam has been running consistently this year but might need some help from the handicapper while Evening Dress is progressing nicely and might not be too far away with the promise of more to come.
The unexposed Mark Johnston pair of Muroona and Evening Dress are of obvious interest, but Caelis deserves to get her head in front again and could well do so here if responding positively to a first-time visor.
