Lord Wishes has posted two solid efforts over hurdles this season and he warrants plenty of respect on his return to chasing duty, but WALTZ DARLING shades the verdict. He crept into the frame in a stronger C&D event a couple of weeks ago and this drop in class, along with a 1lb drop in the ratings, gives him a great chance. Dr Moloney looks to be Stuart Crawford's main hope and he merits consideration, while Cernunnos should improve on efforts at Newbury and Kempton.

Volnay De Thaix was much the best of these over hurdles and could prove tough to stop if improving for the switch to bigger obstacles. He does concede fencing experience to PINE CREEK, though, and John Ferguson's contender was just a half-length behind Red Spinner - that conqueror gave weight and a beating to three rivals at Warwick yesterday - on his chasing bow and might be sharpened up by cheekpieces. Katgary attempts to concede weight to the aforementioned duo but cannot be ruled out for the champion trainer.

A competitive finale where it is tough to escape the claims of Abidjan, who moves into handicaps after back-to-back victories at Exeter in October. He could prove tough to beat if he has improved in the meantime, but he does concede considerable experience to the likes of KASHMIR PEAK, who was a creditable fourth in a stronger 0-150 handicap at Ayr and clearly saves his best for Town Moor. Red Devil Boys and Balmusette also perform well at this venue, while Alzammaar has to enter calculations on the pick of his juvenile form. Kalifourchon completes the shortlist.
