All four of his wins this year have been gained at big odds so he can hopefully do the same here. Kiwi Bay is nothing if not consistent and can once again give a good account of himself. Aspro Mavro has been very lightly raced but has the ability to win a race at this late stage of the season. Observatory Star deserves a change of luck after a desperately unlucky run last time.

ADVENTURE STORY looks to have rock solid claims in this late season maiden and she can provide Richard Hannon with yet another 2yo winner. She has finished a good runner-up in her last two races, at Windsor (behind Hot Pursuits) and Leicester (behind Miss Zooter) and she can go one better now. Mark Johnston's Jarrow, a son of Shamardal, could prove best of the many newcomers. Count Of Anjou faded badly over a mile last time and this shorter trip may suit him better.
Conditions will be testing but Jarrow is taken to make a winning debut, with the Hannon pair Adventure Story and Count of Anjou making most appeal of those who've run.

LONDON GOLD might have come across a useful tool when beaten 5L by Carnaby Street at Goodwood last month after showing good speed all the way. This field is unlikely to contain anything of that winner's calibre and Henry Candy's colt can make it third time lucky. Olney Lass ran well for a 33/1 shot when third of 15 behind No Explaining at Nottingham last time and she could follow the selection home. There are several well bred newcomers entered here, the best of whom may prove to be the Richard Fahey-trained The Gillie.
Magic Place is an interesting debutant from the all-conquering Richard Hannon yard, but London Gold will be a tough nut to crack following 2 solid runs in similar company. Redden is a potential improver who shouldn't be far away, either.

LES FAZZANI romped home 7L clear of her field in this contest last year and Kevin Ryan's much travelled mare has a great chance of landing back to back wins in the race. She came good this term with a handicap win at Leopardstown (1m 2f) before finishing a close third in a Group 1 event in Italy won by Eva's Request last time. Arwaah won a maiden over this trip with ease at Newbury back in August, then ran well in a Group 2 race at Newmarket (1m 4f trip possibly a shade too far). Rainbow Desert could be anything, while Plaisterer could run well at generous odds.
The once-raced Rainbow Desert is the fly in the ointment, but lack of experience could be a hindrance in this big field and the percentage call has to be the rock-solid Les Fazzani, who trotted up in this in 2008. We've yet to see the best of Arwaah, who could be the biggest threat if handling the going, while conditions will suit the progressive Plaisterer.

Despite being off the track for over a year it could be worth taking a chance with the undoubted class of DESERT PHANTOM. He landed a hat-trick in 2008 over this trip and on testing ground, before finishing a creditable fifth behind Naaqoos in a Group 1 race at Longchamp (7f). These conditions are just what the doctor ordered. Chief danger could be midweek winner Fullandby who scored well over 6f at Kempton. Sir Gerry is another to consider as he is a very capable sort if in the right mood. Crystal Moments is an improving filly who likes the mud and is well worth a second look.

The final race of the 2009 Flat turf season looks a real bookies' benefit and a hopeful vote only goes the way of the fully exposed win machine COLLATERAL DAMAGE. He has been expertly placed by Tim Easterby to land five wins from his last six races and he can finish the season on the highest note. Kyllachy Star has come good at just the right time for Richard Fahey, who has enjoyed a great season. He is worth a second glance while the enigmatic Zidane can never be ruled out of calculations and Mia's Boy won well over C&D on his latest start.
The final race of the turf season is predictably a tough contest to solve, but One Way Or Another could give shrewd connections a day to remember. He was right back to form last time and has conditions to suit. Felday and Kyllachy Star head the list of numerous dangers.
