IGOR really appreciated the switch from Monmouth, where he had been running well without reward, to this track last month as he romped home by more than ten lengths. Over a slightly longer trip tonight, he should follow-up. Licence To Tour, second in this grade last time, looks the danger while Nasdaq Jack and Alden's Card have shown enough ability to come into the reckoning.
COINED FOR SUCCESS is yet to win this year and hasn't been out for two months but he has some good form in much better races and looks the one to beat dropped into this grade. Prince Benjamin is on a four-timer. This is his toughest task to date but he could be the danger while Myboybruno is a consistent sort at this level and shouldn't be far away.
Nasdaq Queen was a very easy winner last time but steps up in class here and Indy U S A, second in tougher company last time, makes more appeal. Double Fling and OPEN YOUR MOUTH are not the most reliable but are the class horses here and should fight out the finish, with the latter getting the vote. The former scored well in a valuable allowance race at Monmouth last time but the selection was even more impressive when scoring over the same C&D and will take all the beating if repeating that effort.
Beachouse Beauty was third in a similar contest last time and might get even closer with first-time blinkers added while Zell was second in this grade last time and should be thereabouts. Preference, however, is for HEALTH SEEKER, who was strongly fancied on her debut but never really landed a blow. She set the fastest time of these over this trip, however, has blinkers added now and should prove too good dropped in class tonight.
A P Easy won by over 11 lengths over track and trip last time but that was in a maiden and she will need to improve to get the better of MYSTIC MIRAGE. The selection played up in the stalls before last month's disappointing third in this grade, but if taking advantage of her early speed, she will take all the beating. Steve Klesaris boasts an emphatic strike-rate this year and will have his three year-old ready for action this time. Taps Return is also worth consideration.
HUNGARIAN BOATBABY looks a filly with tons of potential and will have learnt plenty from her debut over a similar distance at this track in August. She represents a very useful barn and switches to a high-percentage jockey for this event. Courtney's Woods looks next best and will be hoping to build on her very promising debut round here. Snow Way boasts an attractive jockey booking and will be hoping to forget her last appearance at Monmouth Park.
Air Lord had Crafty Bear and Mistycal Light in arrears when scoring here last month and looks a leading contender for the prolific Todd Pletcher stable. Kong's Revenge was third in a more competitive contest last time and has to be on the short-list, but preference is for KONG THE KING. The Storm Boot colt was heavily backed when winning here last month and represents a stable in great form at present.
SURE YOU CAN, Country Moggie and Air Brush were first, second and third here earlier this month and look leading players tonight. The winner was only narrowly in front that day but he represents a strong and in-form trainer-jockey combination and might be good enough to follow up. Country Moggie goes well at this trip and should be thereabouts, while Kennebunkport, a winner here last time, is another to consider.
Princess Goober has been off the track since April and may just need the outing despite a recent workout over 5f. Talkin Robyn has been off the track since runner-up here in July but has to be respected for a top stable. The vote, however, goes to BRIDGET OF EIRE, who had Kozmic Afleet behind when second here earlier this month and has clocked faster times over this trip than any of today's opposition.
DOCTOR D has bettered most of these on his last two outings, including when running out a comfortable winner over C&D last week. He should take all the beating and can land this one at the main expense of Sey Elion Proof, who scored over C&D on his penultimate start.
