Donald McCain does really well with runners here and TICK TOCKER could take all the beating, despite having to concede weight all round. The Beat Hollow gelding opened his hurdles account at Uttoxeter last month and has since readily followed up at Bangor. It's unlikely we've seen the best of him yet and, although rain is forecast overnight, a dry morning should aid his cause. Twill Stand To Us is an interesting recruit from the point-to-point scene, though Alpha One may give the selection most to think about as he switches from a spell chasing.

Watch out for: Alpha One (2)

This looks a good chance for Tick Tocker to gain a third win in quick succession. Alpha One and General Hardi are better known for their chasing exploits but still look 2 of the more likely types here, while Twill Stand To Us arrives in good form from the pointing field.

A wide-open contest in which it may be worth chancing WORTH A KING'S. Phil Kirby's charge has dropped to a 3lb lower mark than when completing a double at Uttoxeter last May and was far from disgraced when sixth in a 23-runner handicap at Doncaster when last seen in February. The Good Guy gas some solid form to his name but hasn't won for a long time and ran out at Newton Abbot last time. He is hard to ignore on the pick of his efforts, while C&D scorers Rare Coindidence and Executive's Hall also make the shortlist.

Executive's Hall is well treated on his exploits from a couple of years back and gets the nod to build on a more promising effort at Wetherby last time. Ferdy Murphy has been in fine form since announcing his decision to leave for France and BADGERS RETREAT looks worth sticking with as he bids to complete a hat-trick of victories. The seven-year-old has really appreciated the good ground in winning at Sedgefield and Market Rasen recently and, proving the rain stays away, he could defy the handicapper yet again. Glen Countess is a threat if resuming at her peak following a short break, with Novikov another interesting challenger representing a trainer with a tidy record at this track.

MY FRIEND GEORGE has been hit with a 6lb rise for winning narrowly at Newcastle last month but it was a major step up on anything he had shown before and, with the prospect of more to come, it would be no surprise to see him follow up this afternoon. Fellow last-time-out scorer Dukeofchesterwood also has 6lb extra to contend with following his neck verdict at Sedgefield and he looks the principal threat. Over And Above and Samson Collonges could go well at potentially more rewarding odds.

Dare Me came up short in a competitive Haydock handicap and will appreciate this less taxing assignment, but he will do well to successfully concede weight to CALL BACK. Donald McCain's five-year-old took a bit of time to hit top gear over timber last season, but put his best foot forward to score at Newcastle and should make up into a decent chaser. Musnad also found his form over the smaller obstacles as winter turned to spring and commands attention too.

Watch out for: Dare Me (1)

Dare Me can finish weakly, but sets a high standard for a race of this nature, and should prove hard to beat. Call Back will be a threat if taking to fences at the first attempt, with Musnad preferred to the unreliable Grey Soldier for the minor money.

Exning Halt is an interesting recruit from the Flat, but PALUS SAN MARCO went close to striking at Newbury's Lockinge meeting in that sphere last week and will take all the beating if translating that level of form back to jumps. Lisbon has shaped like his turn is imminent with seconds in a couple of Kelso handicaps, and Travis County must also be given a chance after going so close at Sedgefield last month.

Exning Halt is capable of making his presence felt if taking to hurdling bearing in mind his Flat ability, but Lisbon and Travis County have both shown enough to think they can win in this grade, with the former just preferred.
