Following a string of consistent displays, VOLITO claimed a much deserved success at Goodwood last month and could be worth sticking with again. Up 6lb in the ratings for that success, he still doesn't appear too harshly treated and looks the most likely winner. Clear Ice is also performing at a consistent level at present but this contest does represent a slight step up in class and while Needy McCredie holds strong claims, Tasmeem should also be considered closely.
Volito is in the form of his life and has every chance of following up last month's Goodwood victory. Ryedane goes well here and could also be in the mix, while Clear Ice has been a model of consistency this year.

A tricky maiden to solve and strong market vibes for the Kevin Ryan-trained newcomer Sardanapalus could be worth following given the stable's two-year-old record this term. Preference, however, is for the versatile HAAFKRY who has creditable form on both soft and fast ground and was very close to breaking his maiden tag at Hamilton in June when going down by just a neck. One Kool Dude represents Richard Fahey and he is one of the most exposed of these having had six chances already, but is highly respected all the same.
Haafkry went very close at Hamilton last week and just about sets the standard ahead of One Kool Dude, though both are vulnerable, with Sardanapalus a potential danger on his debut.

Winning form as a juvenile is proving hard to reproduce for CHILLEDTOTHEBONE but when running on past Izzet last time out at Leicester over 7f, he suggested that this step up to a mile could just do the trick. Crown Ridge looks the main threat to the selection and this drop into selling company could see the Mick Channon owned and trained three year-old score for the first time this term. The others would have to display a considerable amount of improvement to get involved where it matters most, Sky Diamond the most likely.
Chilledtothebone finished just ahead of Izzet in a seller at Leicester last week and they could easily finish 1-2 here, with Sky Diamond another who could play a part if recapturing his best form.

C&D form bodes well for supporters of FAZZA who can continue the winning thread despite the slight step up in class. The assessor took a stern view of his recent success here and the four year-old was subsequently handed a 7lb hike in the ratings. However, he is clearly thriving at present and looks to have plenty going for him again. Euston Square and Moheebb are most likely to pose a threat while Sunnyside Tom represents the each-way value in the contest.
Collateral Damage hasn't won since November 2009, but he's handicapped accordingly and did enough at Newcastle last time to think he could be about to bring his drought to an end. Marvo and Fazza appeal as likely threats.

If Ted's Brother is turned out again here following a scheduled engagement on Friday at Beverley, he would hold serious claims as his Newcastle win last month suggested he is some way ahead of the handicapper. The unexposed filly, Mandatori is worth keeping an eye on as she is entitled to keep improving but preference is for ICY BLUE, who remains well handicapped, just 2lb higher in the ratings for a respectable effort at Newcastle. His third the time before at Haydock suggests he is up to taking this prize, especially if the rain arrives.
Ted's Brother was way too good for Icy Blue at Newcastle last week despite meeting trouble, and more success awaits. Improving Mandatori could well figure on her handicap debut, while Hoppy's Flyer holds solid each-way claims off top weight.

Staying power is the name of the game in the finale and BANDANAMAN appears to have that in abundance having won a novice hurdle contest at Sedgefield over a similar distance last summer. He finishing a close second over 2m at Redcar off this mark in April and is taken to go one better here. Word Of Warning was runner-up at Redcar over 1m6f latest and was staying on inside the final furlong that day, while and Rawaaj has winning hurdle form for Donald McCain and is another that should be considered closely. Irish raider Nocturnal Knight is an interesting runner for James Lambe.
It's hard to ignore the claims of useful jumper Neptune Equester who's likely to leave his previous Flat form behind now he's upped in trip and switched to a handicap. Rawaaj also appeals as the type to make his mark on the level, while Words of Warning looks a solid each-way option.
