B L'S GIANNA was beaten a long way on her debut, but this represents a drop in class and a bolder display is anticipated. Tears In A Bottle may be ready for her racecourse bow, but the barn is quiet at present, so a bigger danger may come from Azuli or Marija's Angel, both bred to go well first time.
LOOKS GOOD JUNIC put in an improved effort latest and not a great deal more will be required to win this. Obsidian is of interest on his debut for Bill White, while Alie's Mink had a tougher task and could be prominent today.
ALL CASH is improving with every race and looks worth siding with to land a hat trick. American Comedy has the back form to get involved, while El Duque takes a drop down the claiming ladder and could figure, along with Blind River Fox, who scored against $10K rivals latest.
TRULY LOVELY has failed to build on the promise shown here last year, but remains capable of hitting the mark at this level. Act Natural has the speed figures to suggests she's no back number, while Supermarket Queen is entitled to improve on her debut third here Apr 26.
Halo Heaven drew away from his field to take a $10K claimer at Gulfstream by almost five lengths Apr 22 and must be respected on his debut for Chris Gatis, but preference is for NOAH A. who posted a career-high speed figure when finishing second in an optional claimer here on his turf debut Apr 26. Right Hand Man was 2 1/2l lengths back in third that day and cannot be ignored, but the selection figure to improve again over this longer distance.
MOUNT NEBO'S debut run was good enough to win an average race at this level and that experience may be enough to see him home in front today. Several of the remainder can be expected to be ready for their debuts, including Ocala High and Cliff Road, with the latter out of a winner-producing dam.
WHOLELOTOFIMAGE finished a creditable third here last month, enjoying a couple of lengths advantage over Clever Note back in fifth, and a return to winning ways looks imminent. Fast Access is better than his latest run suggests and is another to take notice of.
SUPER TUSCAN let favourite backers down again here Apr 29, but his sire's stats suggest he is not misplaced on turf and a bold display could be forthcoming. Amateur Ambush is out of a dam that has produced a turf winner, while Monte D. is by a sire that gets his share of winners on the lawn.
MIDTOWN MISS returned from a two-month break to run second in a similar race to this here Apr 25, taking her record at Calder to two wins and four placed efforts from just eight starts. It's hoped she can improve on that today at the main expense of Babaganush, who won a $50K race at Ocala training centre Mar 21, and Mertie M, who landed a fair allowance event here on her latest foray.
