CURTAINS has performed creditably on all outings and this represents a solid opportunity for the Dubawi filly to gain a deserved victory. Her course experience is an added bonus, having stayed on powerfully on debut here when less than a length third behind Nadeen. She also proved she stays this trip and handles the ground when a close runner-up at Lingfield last time. Ailsa Carmel was a beaten favourite at Leicester recently but emerges as the main danger on the evidence of her debut third to Kurtanella at Newbury. Pullyourfingerout is gradually improving and cannot be discounted.

NAPOLETANO enjoys this venue and is only 1lb higher than when scoring here over 1m last summer. He is also a C&D winner and has delivered two pleasing performances of late, including a solid second in a course handicap two outings ago. His current wellbeing affords him preference over Patavium Prince who is sure to be suited by the step back up to 7f. The latter has a useful turn of foot in this grade and came good at this time of year last term. Carmenero finds it hard to win but should be on the premises as usual.

LANDUCCI has to give weight away to all his rivals but has a good record at the track and showed he retains a level of ability when scoring with plenty in hand on Kempton's polytrack in April. His overall profile is solid in the context of this event and he is preferred to Dalrymple. The latter only has six runs to his name, including an April victory in a Windsor claimer and has not been disgraced since in three mid-division finishes. Herecomesbella is consistent at this level and looks next best.

Sir Michael Stoute has a fine strike rate here over the past five years and ENTREAT is taken to boost that impressive record further. The Pivotal filly stepped up on a satisfactory reappearance behind Star Ruby at Sandown when third in a decent Salisbury maiden to Aromatic, who franked the form when scoring next time at Lingfield. She can be expected to improve further and is awarded the vote over Sixties Swinger. The latter will find this easier than his latest outing in a competitive Newbury handicap and remains of interest. Talimos and Best Tune are next best.

GOOSE GREEN returned to form when scoring smoothly over C&D last month under the prevailing ground conditions and can complete a double, reunited with his highly talented pilot. The gelding has been punished with a 7lb rise but still appeals off an acceptable mark. Croeso Cusan has shown her best form at this venue, always partnered by today's pilot, and should be ready to strike form after two modest outings last month. She rates a considerable danger, with Sinbad The Sailor a possible improver after a fair run behind Norman The Great last time. Imperium is usually thereabouts.

Zelos Girl looked as if she would make up into a useful sort when obliging at Carlisle last summer but has disappointed in two subsequent outings. It is too early to write her off and it will be interesting to see how she fares in market exchanges. Billy Beetroot has to be applauded for his consistency and will surely find a race sooner or later, but this could be the time to catch IMAGINARY DIVA, whose penultimate run behind Amosite in a modest if competitive Nottingham handicap looks the best recent form offer.
