PROGRESS DRIVE was outclassed when tackling Graded company at Haydock behind The World's End last month but that form looks strong and the drop in class looks ideal for the son of Stowaway. King Of Fashion has been in fine form here this season having won at the beginning of the year in decent style and must be respected along with Glingerside, another course winner at the end of January when beating Fattsota.
KING OF FASHION was a length behind Progress Drive over C&D in December, but he's 5 lb better off at the weights today and has subsequently run out an impressive winner of a similar event, so expect him to turn the tables with that pair firmly on top of the others. Chanceiton is the unknown quantity in the race having been placed in a point in January.

This could develop into a match race between Chidswell and PISTOL PARK, with marginal preference for the latter to win again for Brian Ellison. His rating has gone from 122 to 136 since joining the North Yorkshire-based handler and the six-year-old has impressed with his attitude in recent outings. Chidswell copes with this ground but would prefer a sounder surface, while Morning Royalty could be the surprise package if building on his recent Carlisle second.
PISTOL PARK has built up a really solid record over fences since joining this yard and is taken to notch a third win of the season under Brian Hughes. Chidswell is another who is thriving at present and should ensure the selection doesn't have things all his own way, while Morning Royalty was fourth in a warm race at Haydock on his latest chase start.

TAKINGRISKS wasn't that convincing at Kelso last time but this return to 3m on very testing ground should see him in a better light and he can defy a small rise in the weights, perhaps at the main expense of Courtown Oscar. DESERT CRY was well beaten in the Grade 2 Rendlesham over 2m7f three weeks ago but rates the one to beat now moving back into a handicap. Donald McCain's charge was impressive when registering an easy C&D win in January and could improve for this drop back in trip. Both One For Harry and Sakhee's City are potential improvers now stepped back up in trip, while Maxie T is worth a market check now first-time cheekpieces are fitted.
MAXIE T is well treated on the pick of last season's form and leaves the impression headgear could help (bit laboured when third last time) so is worth chancing with the testing ground in his favour. ALIZEE DE JANEIRO returned to form with a win at Musselburgh at the start of the month, he is entitled to show further improvement off a 5lb higher mark and is versatile regarding ground. Knocklayde Sno Cat won't lack for fitness returning to racing under Rules having run in a point-to-point just 10 days ago and has some decent form over timber, while Lochnell should prove a lot happier at this level having chased home subsequent Listed winner Antartica De Thaix over fences at Bangor.
Ian Duncan looks to have this covered, with LOCHNELL, who has been consistent throughout this season, taking preference over stablemate Spring Over in a race that the pair could dominate. Bollin Julie and Alizee de Janeiro are both last-time-out winners but find it hard to put up good efforts back-to-back.

KINGS ECLIPSE has winning form between the flags and posted his best effort under Rules when third over 3m2f on his handicap bow at Kelso last time. Another big run is forecast as he returns on the same mark and he is considered the most likely winner ahead of Irish raider Kitty Power, who could improve on her maiden form now sent handicapping, and Arantes, who was fourth over fences at Sedgefield off 2lb higher latest.
KINGS ECLIPSE travelled like a horse ahead of his mark for a long way at Kelso and is taken to prove the point back down in trip. It's possible the return to hurdling will spark The Bishop back to life and he may prove next best ahead of Arantes.

Rooster Spirit made a promising introduction over this C&D and he is likely to be in the shake-up again, but preference is for the twice-raced MCGOWAN'S PASS. Sandy Thomson's gelding built on his encouraging debut performance when scoring decisively at Newcastle and another bold bid looks assured.
