Elusive Jozi is a formidable runner in this grade and missed out by just a nose to JOLIENNE last time, but her wide draw could allow Juan Carlos Guerriero's filly to confirm those placings. Dual Monmouth scorer Thedamageisdone could also make her presence felt.
Glynisthemenace finished well to take third in a similar contest over shorter last time and this step up in trip is likely to suit, while Dattts Appealing also came home with a wet sail last time and is another to consider. Both will need luck as there appears to be very little early pace in the race, so ANNELLE gets the vote. Bruce Brown's filly was disappointing after getting bumped at the start at Saratoga, but she has form over this sort of trip and could strike.
With 13 wins from 17 career starts over a variety of trips in Puerto Rico, My Wandy's Girl is sure to have her supporters, but she's been off the track since August and MILDLY OFFENSIVE may be a safer option. Todd Pletcher's filly was disappointing on a muddy track at Belmont last time, but her previous effort in beating Kid Kate at Saratoga looks very solid form for this grade.
Ruthless Alley has bits and pieces of form to suggest he can challenge, while In Speight Ofitall is also in with a shout on his form to date. Anthem ran well enough on his debut at Belmont to suggest he can challenge, but if STATE FLAG finishes in a similar fashion to when just edged out at Belmont last time, he could take some stopping here.
P J'S MAGICAL WINK produced a career-best effort to score easily at Belmont last time and though this is tougher, he could strike again. Precious Metal finished well to score over track and trip last time and looks the biggest danger if the selection gets his fractions wrong, while Moonshine Bay takes a big step up in grade after winning easily at Keeneland last time.
Very little eyecatching form to go on, so GOT A HUNCH gets the vote. David Cannizzo's gelding was beaten a fair way in two better races at Belmont and this drop in class could prove ideal. That's Gin takes another drop in grade after failing to make an impact at Belmont last time, while Should Make It has placed form at this level.
PORVOO ran a cracker at a big price to take second at Belmont last time and could be the answer in this contest from stall two. Milkyyourway had Eurokay By Me miles adrift when winning on the main track at Belmont and has claims if as effective on turf, while Yes It's Pink is proven on the grass and is another to note.
Freud's Notebook had She's Got Rules, Sing Dixie Sing and Lenders Way behind when second at Belmont and could confirm those placings over the same trip, but may have to give best to GREAT GRACIE DANE. David Jacobson's mare struggled in a minor stakes race at Belmont last time but this drop in class could enable her to strike.
PERIMELE finished strongly for second on debut despite suffering a bump in the straight and with that experience under her belt, Todd Pletcher's filly can strike. Satin Sunset was far from disgraced at Belmont last time and looks the biggest threat, while fellow Belmont placegetter Vicola can also get involved.
