Gordon Elliott (11 February 2026): "I think we’re going to keep everything up in the air at the moment. Obviously, we have the Arkle and the Brown Advisory as his options at the Cheltenham Festival. I don’t think three miles would be a problem at all. It’s just whether it’s the right thing to do at this stage of his career. I’m not sure. I think he’s won two Grade 1s over two miles because of his guts and his heart. He’s been going as fast as he can three or four out in every race, but he just showed how good a horse he is in the closing stages of his races."

Gordon Elliott (19 January 2026): "Romeo has been great so far and already has two Grade 1s won this season. We have him entered in both Grade 1 novice chases at the Dublin Racing Festival. I’m under no pressure to make a decision, so we’ll keep an eye on what the opposition are doing and will leave our decision until late."

Gordon Elliott (23 October 2025): "He seems to be in great form and he’s going to go novice chasing. He always jumped his hurdles like a chaser in the making and his schooling over fences has really pleased us. I’d say we’ll start him off at a mid-range trip and see from there."
