Fleshner has shaped with his fair share of promise in three starts so far and he looks sure to prove a big player again with similar sentiments applicable to Jolly Jordyn. However, FERNBROOK shaped really well on his debut around here earlier this month and he can put that initial experience to good use tonight.
Matt's Lucky Lad only ever does enough and good run is expected as he bids to complete the hat trick but preference is for ZOUNDS. The selection was far from disgraced when fifth in stronger company last month and Terry Jordan's four-year-old could have a little too much up his sleeve tonight. Of the rest, Quench and Dozen Dancer make most appeal.
Katolak Cowboy followed up his maiden success by landing a similar heat to this and there could be more to come, but a chance is taken on UNSUAL MANNER. Ralph Balmonte's charge caught the eye when making all on his racecourse debut over four and half furlongs, he is open to any amount of improvement and this longer trip shouldn't be a problem. Passport Joe is no forlorn hope.
Executive Choice followed up his success over an extended mile here with a solid effort last time out and he can make the frame again but MARCHFIELD appears to have a good opportunity to regain the winning thread following a solid effort when runner-up in a slightly higher grade last time. Malakoff is another worthy of utmost respect as he has been running with credit in top races all year
Summer Spark has a string of placed efforts to his name and might just find one to beat him again. NICE IRISH BOY made a promising debut and he could get off the mark at the second time of asking with that experience under his belt. Fire Chief was a little disappointing last time out but could be given claims if forgiven that run.
PARADISE CAT is a value selection as she competed in a much higher grade last time out and was not disgraced. She holds Moro Moo and Hydethetreasure on their running over this C&D in early August and it seems unlikely that form should be reversed. The pair can battle it out for the places.
WHISPER LOUDLY produced a gallant effort in defeat when runner-up over this track and trip last time and, with much less on her plate tonight, she could prove far to strong for these rivals. Pleasant Mix faces his easiest task of late and rates the biggest threat, while Tale Of The Fox is another worthy of consideration.
DASH IT DARLING stayed on in determined fashion when striking gold over 6f here last time and, with this step-up in trip not a concern, she could take some stopping in her bid to follow up. Valeisha was narrowly touched off at this venue latest and should be in the firing line once again, while Private Battle is another in with a shout.
POINT TUPPER failed to land a telling blow when ninth over this track and trip last time, but he has a much easier task ahead of him tonight and will be well fancied to regain the winning thread. Dylan's Choice is also taking a significant drop in grade and could pose the main danger, while Eskimo Kiss is another that cannot be ruled out.
