MYTHICAL CHIMES appreciated a change in tactics when second over the extended 6f here latest and a similar front-running display is taken to do the business on her return to 5f. White Road and Tourist Resort are others to note.
Runnaway My Way could represent some value at the prices but QUARTERBACK is preferred now dropped in class for this beaten claimer. The four-year-old is open to some improvement at this stage, while it would be dangerous to completely rule out Burning Mandate.
ALLABOUTCAROLINE created a favourable impression when bolting up at Keeneland on her debut and the speedy filly is taken to land this year's renewal of the Victoria Stakes. Ray's Away and Honorable Guest are the dangers.
HOTSTEP went down just a neck behind Riley Ripasso when contesting a $100,000 Stakes race in August last year and, while that form appears to have tailed off somewhat, he's entitled to have come on for his Keeneland reappearance in April and should have enough class in this company. Stunning Stag and Alpha Bettor rate best of the rest.
COASTAL TIDE is beginning to get the hang of things for Malcolm Pierce and the lightly-raced four-year-old has been handed a relatively straight forward opportunity as she goes in search of her maiden success. Peninsula and Lady Lizzy are also given a chance.
MANATEE DIVERS made a promising start to her racing career when a nose second over this track and trip last month and, with improvement expected, she is fancied to go one better tonight. Professor's Ride was less than a length behind the selection that day and warrants plenty of respect, but Ring Of Luck rates the bigger threat.
TOUCHED THE CLOUDS clearly benefitted from the step up to this sort of trip (ran his debut over 6f) when scoring comfortably at the track latest and, with further improvement to come, he could take some stopping in his bid to follow up. Macallan is now in search of his seventh course success and looks an obvious danger, while Bowman's Causeway certainly isn't out of it either.
MOONLIT BEAUTY showed a likeable attitude when striking over an extended 1m here last time and, already proven at this shorter trip, she is taken to repeat the dose. Strike Red hasn't done too much wrong in three starts thus far and should give another good account, while Barracks Road and Jenny's So Great make up the shortlist.
It could pay to side with the in-form HOLD THAT ECHO in what looks a fairly open heat. She did the job nicely over track and trip last time and ought to play a leading role if in the same mood this evening. Amongst the dangers are Zaphyra and Carrtowns Katie, who both drop in class.
GUPPY SMUGGLER gets the tentative vote in a tricky-looking finale. She has been knocking on the door in similar contests recently and it would be disappointing were she not to finish in the money again. Say What You Mean has shown enough in previous starts to suggest that she could get involved, while South Beach Anna and Hymn Note are others with claims.
